Barkley Trade

Team 3 in sig. In trade talks with an owner, he is interested in Barkley and Taylor. He has currently offered me to give Taylor and 2.04 for me to get Gibson, Dillon and 1.10. I’m thinking about countering with Barkley for Gibson, Dillon and 1.10? Is this enough return for Barkley? I’m not necessarily trying to compete next year. Would like to build more depth and compete the following year.

I’ma say neither offer is particularly close and I wouldn’t really be looking to move either of those guys right now either. Are you without draft picks this year on that team?

ETA: I can appreciate concerns toward Barkley and a possible desire to move away from growing injury history. Still, would need more than 1.10 on top of Gibson to move him for me and I’m not a passenger on the AJ Dillon train

I would pass on both these deals. Both Taylor and Barkley should only get moved for big overpays IMO, and as much as I like Gibson, this isn’t an overpay at all.

Side note question on looking at Team 3: Is there a significant TE prem in this league? Just asking based on the number of TEs being held. If so, I’d go after Kittle+ in a Barkley deal.

I'm passing on both deals.

JT and Barkley require top returns. I just bought JT + two 2nds for DJM + two 1sts and thought I done well out of that as JT is worth more.

You'll need a quite a bit more coming back.

I would pass on both deals and build around Barkley and Taylor. You have a solid young build.

Not TE premium, was just able to add some TEs last season that people had dropped that I liked more than other players on my roster.

That is closer value wise, but I think Barkley is the safer floor and higher ceiling asset in the deal.

You would need everything to fall perfectly to come out even or on top. Gibson takes a step (possible), Dillon to replicate Jones' production (more unlikely than possible) and 1.10 to be the steal of the draft a la Justin Jefferson (not likely). Too many question marks in my mind. The other owner is trying to trade quarters and dimes for your dollar.
