Trade up for Javonte or go for Pitts?

I think the owner with 1.04 would accept my 1.09 and 1.12 for his 1.04 where I could draft Javonte. Or should I try to move up a couple spots from 9 to draft Pitts, and hope Gainwell falls to me at 12? I'm not really targeting a WR with my first round picks as I am set up pretty good there.

Which do you think would be better?

No idea when your draft is, but if it's after the NFL draft, I think it's way too early to be positioning in this way. If you want to move up because you get a deal/discount, that's one thing.. But to assume we/you know how things will shake out when drafts come around is a dangerous game. The only pick that is probably safe to etch in stone is Lawrence at 1.01 in SF leagues.

Hold out for landing spots or any trade could have been a bust by the time your draft comes around.

I would hold out until after the NFL draft at the very least since the goal is focused on moving up for a specific player. Make sure that guy lands somewhere worth that pick if that case. If you were moving up in order to get into a better tier and you feel good about there being at least a handful of guys that you’d be comfortable with in that tier, then I’d say go for it, but in this case I’d hold off.

someone traded up to 1.06 before the nfl draft last season because he liked helaire very much and it was reasonable to expect him to fall there...

williams may very well be the consensus 1.02 in 1QB half-ppr after the draft.

Piling on, hold for now until you see where your targets end up. Lots can change post draft. As mentioned by Killer of Giants, see Helaire last draft.

I get what you guys are saying, but I think theres another side. Let's say Javonte gets drafted by Seattle, and every indication is that hes their new bellcow and the consensus adp of 4. Maybe the owner of pick 4 falls in love with that landing spot and refuses to move off it.

I guess I'll hold for now though.

I think its a fair price to move up. I probably would myself. But, if it is for a certain player, be prepared to be disappointed. Ever draft is weird. NFL and fantasy. That being said, there still will be a great player to get during the draft at 4.
