What offer could you not say no to for Josh Allen?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What offer could you not say no to for Josh Allen?

Postby TTHTD » Thu Feb 25, 2021 10:44 pm

Team 2 in sig

An owner who is stacked at RB and has no QB inquired about Allen. Said he's a Bills fan and wanted to know what offer I wouldn't say no to for Allen. I do need some RBs, but giving up Allen is not something I'm looking to go out of my way to make happen. That being said, it's an interesting proposal and I'm curious what people think.

The players on the table are Cook, Swift, Jacobs, Mixon, 2021 2.05, and a likely middling 2022 1st. What is the lowest combination of them would you definitely not turn down for Allen?

You are in a really nice spot at QB and I agree with you, I would not be looking to mess with that. I would only consider moving Allen for a combo of Swift + Jacobs or Mixon and a QB. It's a big ask, but you hold the asset in demand here. What QBs does the other owner have?

Wow, that's rough in SF ha ha! I would pass without a good young QB coming back.

Allen+3.02 for Swift+Jacobs+2022 1st+2021 2.05

You get two good young RB. Use your 1.02 on the best QB available. With 1.11, 2.05, and 2.13 you can pick up decent rookie RBs and WRs. As long as you hit on the right QB with 1.02, I think you get good value on Allen in this deal.

I'm a big fan of Herbert. If you're not as high on him, I understand not wanting to do this.

There’s not a combo there from his players that would get me to move off of Allen in your build.

You have an embarrassment of riches at QB. Trading Allen may be something you regret later but it could propel you into contention right away, if that is a goal.
As previously mentioned, you have the asset in demand so the price I would set would be your top 3 RB of those listed + the 2022 1st and I probably wouldn't budge off that.
