Should I accept this trade for Chubb+++??

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Should I accept this trade for Chubb+++??

Postby dynofun » Tue Feb 23, 2021 11:54 am

OK this is a 12 team PPR dynasty league where we start 1 QB/1 RB/3 WRs/2 Flex/1 TE/1 K/1 Def. To keep this trade in context I own both the 1.05 and 1.06 rookie picks in the coming 2021 rookie draft and just received this offer:

I would receive: Nick Chubb and the following 2021 rookie draft picks - 2.02, 2.07, 2.11 & 3.07

for

I would give up: Joe Mixon and the following 2021 rookie draft picks - 1.06 & 3.01

Here is my roster:

Ryan, Matt ATL QB
Akers, Cam LAR RB
Edwards, Gus BAL RB
Evans, Darrynton TEN RB
Foreman, D'Onta TEN RB
Johnson, Duke HOU RB
Jones, Aaron GBP RB
Mack, Marlon IND RB
Mattison, Alexander MIN RB
McKissic, J.D. WAS RB
Mixon, Joe CIN RB
Chark, D.J. JAC WR
Edelman, Julian NEP WR
Godwin, Chris TBB WR
Green, A.J. CIN WR
McLaurin, Terry WAS WR
Metcalf, DK SEA WR
Meyers, Jakobi NEP WR
Miller, Anthony CHI WR
Robinson, Demarcus KCC WR
Sims, Cam WAS WR
Slayton, Darius NYG WR
Kittle, George SFO TE
Thomas, Logan WAS TE

The DLF Trade Calculator has this as being an insta accept 1151.8 value for what I'd be getting and giving up 955.6 in value. I don't always go by that though so that is why I like to get other's opinions before I push the accept button. What do you guys think? Should I pull the trigger on this or stand pat?

If you are looking for the RB upgrade, I would make this deal. There is always a chance Mixon has a good year, but we have said that for years. Chubb is a big time back and way more valuable than what you are giving up in most leagues.

I am for sure looking for the RB upgrade. The question remains is that upgrade worth missing out on a Rookie prospect like Javonte Williams, Rondale Moore or Rashod Bateman? I realize I am getting a whole bunch of dart throws with all of those 2nds but I'm still just not sure. I feel Mixon is still very undervalued but I do understand what you're saying about him. This is a very interesting trade offer.

For me, this is a big upgrade at RB and the 1.06 is outside of the elite tier in this class is why I would be apt to make the deal. I hear what you are saying on Mixon as well but it's always next year for Mixon with the what ifs.

Im a little late to the game on this one, but great deal! I think the upgrade to Chubb was easily the way to go here.

Good deal. As far as what they've actually done in the NFL, Chubb is a much better RB than Mixon. What you lose in 1.06 you make up for with a shotgun approach with all the 2nd round picks. You have a better chance at drafting a keeper from the three 2nd rounds than you do 1.06.

Or you can package a couple or all three of them up and try to move into the late first round either before or during the draft
