I traded Mike Gesicki and 3.08
I received 2.04 and 3.04

What do y’all think?

This is about fair value for him. He may still breakout but an early 2nd is fair if you were looking to move on. I don't think he will ever be an elite option.

I think I would have held. I still like Gesicki enough to keep him another year unless I got an overpay.

Had you had different TEs I would have been concerned. With the group you had, I'm fine moving gesecki for this.

I don't get the advice saying since he has better TE's, do the deal. I mean, Gesicki has grown every year and had a solid TE1 season. What are you getting at 2.04? I don't think this class is particularly strong to do that deal without being on the clock.

This class is strong and deep all the way thru the 2nd IMO. I think to the comment about having other good TE’s - it makes it a good deal for him to accumulate assets at other positions that are equal or potentially more valuable. There are guys that will be at 2.04 I think we will find are worth more than MG by year’s end. The challenge, of course is going to be selecting the right guy. Imagine if you landed a Higgins or Claypool amongst many others at 2.04 for ex from last year. I think after we know landing spots it will elevate the value of that pick even more. And ya MG is fine, but he’s one of many bazillion tight ends that fall into his fantasy scoring range. Good trade.

This is a SF league so good players fall into the 2nd. Plus, the last few drafts teams didn’t hit QBs as aggressive in round 1 and several fell into the late 1st early 2nd and this year there are 6 QBs, so one should fall. If not it ensures me to get Bateman, Rondale Moore and/or Terrance Williams. Give me a QB prospect and/or a top flight WR due Especially with 3 other quality TEs rostered. I’m also high on 4-6 TEs in this class and I can get one of those at 4.01 and be happy going forward.

This SF class is as deep as any we’ve seen in years, rb is the only position not deep, curious what you don’t like about this class? Are you referring to 1qb format?
Likely 5 first round QBs, very deep at wr, strong te class. 2.04 likely lands the wr 6ish, that’s a great range to target in this draft my opinion. I think the value is about right for
Gesicki.

Your list is probably accurate for the best players on the board. But guys in my leagues always smash RBs. I bet 2 of Williams, Gainwell, Sermon, Hubbard (crazy I know) get selected in the 1st round, pushing down a quality WR like Moore, Bateman, and a dart throw at Mac Jones or Trask.

I’m also high on Williams and Gainwell, so if it goes like you’re saying I’m happy with one of them at that spot as well. I also really like Terrance Marshall and he will likely be at 2.04. Gesicki isn’t going to be consistent enough imo to be a weekly auto play. I would have to pick the right games for him each week over a Fant, Andrews and Goedert. For me gettin one of those falling WRs or a QB dart throw which can increase a lot in value, Mike G even after a solid year hasnt really moved the needle in value all that much.
