Postby CGW » Wed Feb 10, 2021 8:47 am

For team 1.

Move up into top tier or hang tight with my picks? I'd be hoping harris or Etienne makes it to 1.05.

Depends on who drops for me. I would hold off until draft day when the pick is otc. The value is certainly there, but you never know how the draft could go.

As of right now I agree that there is probably a tier drop after either the 1.05 or 1.06 so I think moving up to the 1.05 is a nice idea. Value is probably fine. Its very possible that after the NFL draft that may change.

But lets say the first picks are Lawrence, Harris, Etienee, Chase. Would you be happy moving up to the 1.05 for Fields/Wilson?

Not particularly. I'd take a QB here if that's how it fell but more likely would trade out for an RB. I'm desperately shallow at RB.

Then I think you should wait and see who falls. 1.08 should still net you a valuable player to either draft or trade the pick for a RB.

I would wait until 1.05 is on the clock to see if you still want to make the move depending on who's there.

Value is fine, but I don't like moving up before the pick is on the clock unless you're fine with 5 players there at that price. I would definitely wait for the NFL draft to see where the tiers shake out.

I like the deal. The easy thing to do is say wait until OTC, but in all the leagues I play in picks only get more and more expensive as the draft gets closer. If you're okay with the risk of potentially missing out on one of those 2 RBs that you like and ending up with a top WR or a QB then make the deal now. Worst case 1.05 will likely appreciate in value and on draft day you could probably get a return that is pretty close to what gave up for it.

I understand everyone who is saying “Wait to see who is there”, but I agree with this take. You know your league better than we do. If there have been members consistently trade up during the draft, that 1.05 will be worth quite a bit otc. I think this is a decent price to give yourself the option to take who you want at 1.05 or trade for what would be a better RB option than you’d likely get trying to trade using the 1.08 otc.
