Who to drop for Gus Edwards

I am a dobbins owner. We have 100 dollars faab that lasts the entire offseason. How much would you spend and who would you drop out of: Bowden, Harrison Bryant, Chris Herndon, Guice, Kerryon
Team 1: Single qb tiered ppr league 22 man base roster plus 2 taxi squad spots and 2 IR spots; 2 flex:
Qb: B. Mayfield, J. Goff, J. Winston
Rb: J. Mixon, CEH, J.K. Dobbins, K. Hunt, K. Johnson, G. Bernard, G. Edwards, L. Bowden
Wr: Aj Brown, O. Beckham, C. Kupp, C. Sutton, J. Reagor, T. Higgins, M. Pittman
TE: D. Goedert, Jonnu Smith, Mike Gesicki, OJ Howard, H. Bryant, C. Herndon
2022: 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th

Team 2: SF/TE Premium PPR league 22 man roster start 2 rb, 2 wr, 2 flex (not including SF spot):
Qb: Fields, Lance, M. Jones, J. Goff
Rb: J. Mixon, A. Ekeler, T. Etienne, D. Henderson, D. Evans, J. White, J. Doaks
Wr: DJ Moore, Juju, Sutton, R. Bateman, E. Moore, B. Edwards, J. Meyers, B. Perriman
TE: M. Andrews, A. Trautman, G. Everett

As far as FAAB goes, I wouldn’t give more than 5-10%, but do you think there’s a chance he clears waivers and you can get him for free? Either way, I’d drop Guice for him.

Appreciate it. I don’t think it’s impossible he goes unclaimed but I would put the odds at more like 30% that happens. League is active and he was just dropped today. 24 man rosters with no defense or kicker so pretty thin pickings. Other top options are Jordan Howard Ian Thomas John Ross Breshad Perriman. I was irrationally in love with Guice coming out so it’s tough one for me but you are probably right.

10%. Edwards could move on from Baltimore this offseason as well. Guice is droppable and likely never plays again in the NFL.

He is a restricted free agent and Ravens dropped Ingram so would be pretty surprising to me to see him move on but yeah Guice upside as 23 year old back with loads of talent is hard for me to drop when I have 6 tight ends but you are probably right

I'm guessing Edwards is back in Baltimore as well, but you never know. Guice had so much potential, but seems to have thrown it all away at this point. With all the injuries and now legal troubles, It's tough to see a way back for him. He would still be my drop, but I understand with 6 TE's holding him just in case.

I also thought I'd never see Hunt back in the NFL, but here we are...

Certainly could happen. Hunt had a couple good years to back up his play which may have helped. But I'm with you, I did not think Hunt or A. Brown would ever be back. Really makes you wonder why players like Blackmon never made it back.

kerryon, guice and your least favourite TE can all be dropped.
if the budget is for the offseason only i'd bid 15-20$, it's unlikely you see better players on the wire. although there will be some saucy drops after the rookie draft i suppose.

What he said. I will add, you need to move on from Guice, He's not shown enough to overcome the bad PR him hitting the field will cause,

These are solid comments. Can't believe Edwards was dropped in what looks like a fairly deep league, seems odd.

Would need clarity on when your free agent budget is reset and the mechanics here.

If you can only use this $100 before players are dropped before the draft, and then any dropped players cannot be bid on; I.E. are put back into the draft pool...then I'd spend a bunch to ensure Edwards gets on my squad. Maybe all of it? Like, who would possibly be better on the waiver wire during the offseason?

But if I misunderstood the mechanics, I.E. you can maybe save some of the $ for players dropped pre draft as suggested above ^, then I'd spend probably 31%. Yes, 31, lol. Spend a dollar more than you think anyone else would possibly spend.
"Marathon Square" - 16 team full PPR league with 24 player roster. Keep 16 per year indefinitely, draft 8. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Team DST
QB: Jordan Love, Deshaun Watson
RB: Travis Etienne, Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Kendre Miller, Jaleel McLaughlin, Sean Tucker, Deuce Vaughn
WR: A.J. Brown, Garrett Wilson, Tee Higgins, Calvin Ridley, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, Tutu Atwell, Allen Lazard, Isaiah Hodgins, Justin Shorter
TE: T.J. Hockenson, Cole Kmet, Kylen Granson
K: Didn't make the playoffs in 2023  , and don't usually hold one in the offseason
Team DST: Cowboys, Lions

Picks:
2024: All my picks except 3rd rounder

Disclaimer: My one and only Championship in this league was way back in 2011. Therefore, take my replies with the appropriate grain of salt.

I'd prolly drop Guice. It would be smart for Ravens to resign Gus to like a 3yr deal for like 3-4mil a year since they have Dobbins and Hill on rookie deals. However Gus might wanna go somewhere for either more money than Ravens offer or for a chance to start. Wouldn't surprise me if Gus wanted to do that.

Unfortunately for Gus he is a restricted free agent so won’t really have that choice

Thanks for the response. I actually got him for 15 this morning. The 100 dollars lasts till kickoff of the NFL season so there will be some cuts made after the rookie draft. But I still think he will be one of the better players regardless
