SF : Matt Ryan for Keenan Allen

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

SF : Matt Ryan for Keenan Allen

Postby dhanks91 » Thu Feb 04, 2021 12:57 pm

Team two in sig.
Lost in the finals this year and I’ve been looking at every avenue to improve my qbs even before Rivers retired. I currently hold the 1.04 in the draft this year and I’m bouncing between drafting a rookie qb or trading for a vet.

Was offered Matt Ryan for Keenan Allen and I’m curious how close this is? Is it asking too much to get a future 2 added to Ryan in this deal? Or do I hold off for now and wait to see what happens when my pick is on the clock. I think my team has a chance to compete this year so that’s why I’m leaning towards adding a vet at QB.

All responses are appreciated, cheers!

In a 14 team SF league, I think the value is on the Ryan side. This really hurts your WR core but I think two starting QBs is much more important.

I agree with Gator. It would definitely hurt your WR core but you'll be able to get one at 1.04. If you can get more on top of Ryan that would be great but in a 14 team SF the value is there.
12 team league - 1.0 PPR - 6pt TD's

I'd make this move for Ryan, primarily because Id feel a lot better about drafting a top WR at 1.04 than one of the QBs left.

Another vote for Ryan.
To have Russ and Ryan in a 14-team SF should give you a huge advantage over at least 3/4 of the league. A key will be if Mixon can stay healthy and if Aiyuk can take the next step.

Thanks for the responses! Ended up making the deal. I agree it leaves me a little short at wr, but I feel like that’s an easier position to fill production wise. Might look to move down from 1.04 and pick up a couple of additional picks

I think matt Ryan’s age and hold on the Falcons starting QB spot is questionable. If you’re going to trade the pick I’d be looking for someone other than Ryan honestly. I’d almost rather take WR or RB at 1.4 if you can’t get a better long(er) term QB in return. Atlanta legit might draft a QB in the first round this year.
10 team league....16 offensive keepers selected by April first. 28 man rosters during the season. 1 keeper defense and 1 keeper kicker.

Start 1 QB 6 pt passing TD, 2 RBs, 3 WR, 1 flex, 1 TE.

QBs- Dak P
RBs- miles sanders, CEH, Najee Harris, Antonio gibson, James robinson, Boston Scott, qadree ollison, eno Benjamin, Sony michel, kerryon Johnson, gerrid Doaks, Larry rountree,
WRs- Brandon aiyuk, shenault, Adam thielen, Antonio brown, kadarius Toney, Jacobi Meyers, Dwayne eskridge, jalen Darden.

TEs- Goedert, fant, Hayden hurst, Dan Arnold, Donald parham
Kicker- koo

I'm a little late to the party, but I think its a fair deal. Have them pretty even for a SF (have Allen slightly ahead, but negligible)

I’d wait to see who’s there at 1.04 before you trade it. A top RB/WR will be there, and that is the kind of rookie you want to add after making this competitive move.
