For the team in my signature, we keep 16 and deadline is Saturday. I’m still trying to make some deals, but given my current roster I’m planning on axing:
Herndon and Mayfield
Which of the following is my final keeper (throw back the others)
Tua, Rothesburger, or PIT defense
Is PIT good enough to go into the draft w/o any QBs? I’m sure I can get one of these QBs back, Goff, wentz, etc.
Or do I keep Tua or BigBen and stream DEF next year. I likely wouldn’t be in position to get PIT back in the draft.

I would keep your top QB and drop Pittsburgh. Defenses are so hit or miss week to week and year to year, that I would not bother keeping one.

To me my QBs are all pretty similar
Rothesburger (good for maybe a year)
Mayfield (good is spurts, run heavy offense, should I trust him?)
Tua (possibly the highest future ceiling, but will he reach it and will he be with Houston next year? Yuck

With 20 listed in your sig, it may be easier for folks to go from the bottom up. I agree with the Herndon drop, although I would look at redrafting him late next year. Kirk could go, since the breakout never seems to happen and you have better WR options on your roster.
That leaves two more cuts, which I feel should come from your QBs and/or D. If you feel strongly that you would be able to draft another capable QB, I would keep Mayfield and PIT D. I can see Gator’s point about D being fairly random, so I wouldn’t fault you for keeping another QB. But I see PIT retooling a bit and getting healthier, so I believe they’ll stay near the top. Tua may progress, but Ben has one year max left and they still haven’t worked out terms. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Based off the current 20 in the sig, I would cut the following 4: Herndon, Steelers D, Kirk, and Ben.
Even if you feel you could get someone in the Goff/Wentz range I’d rather hold Tua for potential and Baker based on his 2nd half and not feel like having to reach at QB in the draft.
