2021 Top 4/2.10 or Gibson/1.09?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

2021 Top 4/2.10 or Gibson/1.09?

Postby krtbuckeye » Mon Feb 01, 2021 8:50 am

I'm pretty high on Gibson and thinking of making the following offer:

I give: 2021 Lottery 1st (odds on 1.04, can't be worse than 1.04)/2.10
I get: Gibson/1.09

If I knew the lottery pick was 1.04, I'd probably be willing to move it straight up for Gibson, but moving from 2.10 to 1.09 seems like it would make up the difference of the risk that the pick could draw higher in the lottery. I already tried Zeke for Gibson straight up and that got shot down because the Gibson owner is rebuilding, but willing to move young players for high picks (not sure why he'd want to take on the risk of unknown vs known, but oh well).

Would making this offer be a good move for my team in order to take on a more known commodity and move up from the late 2nd, if it were to get accepted...What say you?

I value Gibson as a mid ish 1st, so the extra 1st on top is solid value. The 1.04 is a bit of an overpay, but again I think the extra 1st coming back makes up the gap.

I like the trade for both teams, good value going both ways. I'm high on Gibson as well so I would definitely do something like that too.

I'd do the trade.
Then again, I'd probably do it to get Gibson even if I wasn't getting the 1.09 in return. Gibson is so young that he's basically the same age as the incoming rookies. Also, we know that Coach Ron historically loves his RBs, and when he finds one he likes, he feeds them.

I would side with Gibson and the 1.09 here.

Gibson>=1.04, and
1.09>2.10.

Solid value here. Even if it's higher than the 1.04, I'd roll with Gibson.
