This is very tough to say as a long time Julio fan, but I view them pretty evenly overall. In that case, I’d take Lockett just for the extra years.

I’d prefer Julio. Under contract for a couple more years atleast where Lockett is only 2021. Julio is still putting up good numbers if healthy.

I would still rather have Jones. He is elite whereas Lockett is not and not young by all accounts.

Julio just feels like that textbook early 30's fade for me. Picking up a lot more nagging injuries, they take a lot longer to heal, etc. It just feels like we see this with these guys a lot. More soft tissue injuries, but they're still good when they play. Then more soft tissue injuries and they're not as good when they play and we use the nagging injury as an excuse. And then eventually they just hardly play at all and when they do they're not even worth starting.

I hope I'm wrong because I own a few shares and his value is basically nil and not worth moving if he does have a couple more WR1 years in him, but I'm not banking on that at this point. It's starting to feel a lot like when AJG really started falling off.

Julio Jones, meet AJ Green, Demaryius Thomas and Brandon Marshall. Not every WR can be Fitzgerald or Owens and play into their mid-to-late 30s with good production.

I love JJ, but there is no way I would plan for him to be my WR1 or WR2 in 2021. I don't see much of a chance for Julio to outperform Lockett in 2021.

I was with you until you said this lol

There is absolutely a chance Julio outperforms Lockett next year. That's insanity

As for the question I would lean towards Julio only because he'd be easier to flip later on. Would not count on him as a top WR for my team though

I'd lean Julio. You can rely on him to start most weeks. Lockett you really can't some weeks. He played through injuries. Dude is a monster. He isn't AJ Green or Brandon Marshall. He put up 6 top 7 WR years in his last 7 years. AJ Green has put up 2 and that was back in 2013. If Julio plays, he will be good. Great player for a competitive team.
