Aiyuk/Pittman

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Aiyuk/Pittman

Postby Pew Dogs » Fri Jan 29, 2021 10:10 am

In 2nd team below ...

Give: M.Pittman, 1.10
Get: B.Aiyuk, 2.08

It's been offered to me. I'm strongly considering it. But I read that Pittman might be undervalued. The question is whether it is enough to warrant keeping him in this situation. Also, is the difference in hit rates between late 1st and 2nd all that much? (For example, last year I drafted Chase Claypool in this very league at 2.09 but in another I traded up to get him at 1.12 because I was a believer.)

... and of course, do both players' value go sky high if Matt Stafford becomes their QB. Ironic that both teams are possibilities for him.

Do you have any recommendations or things I should consider that I'm missing?

Yes. Both guys face unclear QB futures, but Aiyuk has shown me more.

I like Aiyuk more as an asset and his skill set. He showed well last year and more importantly was productive with Kittle and Samuel in the lineup. I think the price is about right here. Aiyuk side for me.

Pittman side for me. I prefer Aiyuk straight up but the pick difference makes up for the gap

Pretty close but in a 2qb I’ll take Pittman and the pick.

I like aiyuk a bit more than Pittman, but like guys have said, the picks make up the difference. Holding Pittman here. They were only drafted about 10 spots apart which isn't alot, and that 10th pick in the rook draft will probably net you a Lineup guy (someone you can put into your lineup with somewhat confidence), if QBs dominate the first round.

Ya can get 1 of the top 4 QBs if they fall and if not you’re getting a wr with better nfl draft capital than aiyuk (4 QBs 2 RBs 1te youre looking at wr3 here or pitts if he falls). Not that I’d trade aiyuk for the pick alone but pick + Pittman is a nice package.
