It helps your RB depth, but I would not make this deal. Higgins looks like a really solid asset, but I'm not high on Ekeler. I think Ekeler loses a lot of receptions with Herbert at QB.

You would need to get more in return than just Ekeler, I would keep Higgins here as well. I would try to gauge interest in Kenny G or Lockett before Higgins to upgrade at RB.

I really like Ekeler going forward. I agree with others though Higgins is steep

I would hold Higgins easily. Sanders and Dobbins are a decent pair (theoretically) of RBs, so I wouldn't be giving Higgins outside of an overpay for him that would also fit your build. This isn't that.
