Massive Deal for Lawrence - Thoughts?

Just made a massive move to get the 1.01 (Lawrence) in a 12-team SF league (Team 3) and am curious to hear people’s thoughts.

Gave: Hunt, 1.10, Rodgers
Got: 1.01

It’s an overpay. Curious to see if anyone would still make the move.

Doesn’t seem like an overpay to me, not in SF. I assume it’s for a rebuild, not a win now

Team could be a competitor, it was close last year. Notable players include:

QB - Cam, Watson
RB - AK, Jacobs, Dobbins
WR - Tyreek, AJB, Woods, McLaurin

Not super deep, but 3WR and 9 total.

QB/SF/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/FLX

If this is for Team 3 in your sig, I’d make that deal for Lawrence.

Might take a couple years to back to that level (maybe not if he’s a super stud out the gate) but i still like it. Good trade.

You got the 1.10, what other picks do u hold?

x2 - Rodgers is still a great piece on the field, but his value is not likely to be what it should be based on age.

In this league I hold a mid 2nd and 4.10 and 5.10.

I don't think it's an overpay. Good move to get the deal now. The price will only be going up until Lawrence is drafted, and it may even continue to go up.

This is a good example of how trade calculators are not accurate measures of trades, and one reason why I value other actual fantasy players’ opinions on this forum. One site had this as an absolute massacre for me (180 v 375) and another was not favorable either (46 v 63). Trade calculators are fine and I don’t dislike them, but I didn’t look at them before making this trade and often don’t. Certainly not the end all be all.

I dont use trade calculators at all and never have for just this type of reason. Real head scratchers sometimes.

Totally agree on this. A trade calculator can really only evaluate a deal in a vacuum. Yes, some can be tweaked by league size and format, but none are granular enough to take into account starting requirements or the role that a certain player does/will fill in your build.

This was weak for 1.1 (lawrence) imo. It was very weak in a format that is not qb and/or te prem.
