Hopkins on a dead end team

My team is a bottom half team without a 2021 1st round pick. Team is very weak at RB, will need to trade a couple more WRs. I am considering this a rebuild.

Would you give up Hopkins for:
James Robinson and a lottery (top 6) pick
Or keep Hopkins.

I know I won’t get 2 1st rounders, I think the above is th best I can do.

What do you all think?

Superflex??? Even if it isnt, I think I would do this. I actually have it as pretty fair value.

Value is fair especially if you are multiple years out from competing. By then, Hopkins value will be like Julio Jones's is now.

I don’t see why you can’t get (2) 1st round picks for Nuk after the season he just had? I’d want a different piece instead of J-Rob in a tear down.

If you’re in a rebuild I want a young WR instead of Robinson. No guarantee the new coaching staff sticks with him

Hopkins is worth more than that, and I'm a huge James Robinson fan. I'm a big believer in not panic selling just because an offer is there.

Float him around to a few owners to gauge interest, but don't publicly put him OTB in your league chat because that will always result in low-ball offers.

We're talking about an elite WR locked in with a stud QB for another 4 years. A competitive team should be willing to pay up a little bit for that type of player.

I would hold out for a better offer here.

I don't think that is bad value. I would guess you could get more though.

I honestly don't think I could get that offer in my league. I personally would do it.

No chance I sell Nuk for a RB as a rebuilding team. In a multi year rebuild even an elite talent RB will likely fade before you are ready to compete. Not only that but an RB helps you win, which you don't want in a rebuild.

Sell Nuk for a young WR+ or even straight up in a rebuild. If its SF, QB is another option.

The only time you trade for RB in rebuild is if their value is incredibly low or you are going to immediately flip them. JR value is likely at the highest it ever will be. Can you turn around and flip him immediately for a WR or high 1st?

I agree with every bit of this. I think the value is close with the 1.06, but I would need assurances that I could move Robinson for as much. If the owners of the 1.04 or 1.05 need an RB, there might be some interest as Harris and Etienne may be gone by then. If you could flip JR for that level or a young WR like Higgins, it might be worth pursuing.
