Confidence in which pair going forward?

Postby Disaman74 » Sat Jan 23, 2021 11:57 am

Which pair do you have more confidence in going forward?
I could potentially add Elliot and DHenry to my team in separate deals, giving up Dobbins and Akers. Likely have to add Dionte and Pittman and would get back lesser WRs. These deals would likely make me the favorite for a title the next few years and still have Swift and RJones. I’m likely to decline and just continue to build, but I wanted other’s opinions.

If you are all in this year and potentially next, I would take Zeke and Henry. Long term, easily the young pair.

I'm taking the young guys next year and beyond. Akers and dobbins already took their lumps rookie year. They had to wait awhile to finally get rolling, but now that they are it's their show to run. Next year they will both have feature roles on run-first teams. Ascending players whose ceilings are unkown, but floors look quite good. Id rather have the young guys in locked and loaded situations rather than the older STUD henry, and the unsteady zeke, who may or may not bounce back next year, but either way is not getting any younger. To me the backs are so close that the decidifactor is youth.

Based on other posts and replies, this is the advice I expected. Going to keep the young RBs and hope they reach their ceilings. Thanks!

I’m glad you kept your pieces. I agreed with every word of this post, then remembered you said you’d have to add Dionte and/or Pittman. You’ve built a good young squad. There is no reason to quit that now for a one-year push. Even if next year isn’t your title year, you’re likely to be close with a group of players with room to grow.

I’ll hedge my bets and take the younger, ascending assets. Tough choice it is, though.
