Moving back from 1.01

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Moving back from 1.01

Postby ThunderTung » Thu Jan 21, 2021 12:20 pm

I currently have the 1.01, 1.04, and 3 2nd round picks

I'd really like to move back a spot or two, there's a guy that has the 1.03 and 1.05.

If I can I'd like to scoop up both the 1.03 and 1.05, and he's expressed interest in Jaylon Smith, how close in value is this?

A) Jaylon Smith, 1.01
B) 1.03, 1.05

its 1QB, .5 ppr and Jaylon Smith put up the same points as Jacobs did this season, but the LB position drops off a lot more gradually than RB (and they have a longer shelf life)

Should I try to move up in the 2nd on top of this? or do I need to add more?

Based on the scoring Smith had, I think he is too much to give one top. I would try more another piece coming back here.

I hear ya, I ended up offering:

A) 1.01, Jaylon Smith

B) 1.03, 1.05, 2.03, TY Hilton

He mentioned he wanted to get rid of some cap space, so an aging Hilton is more of me just taking the cap hit off his team (plus I have an abundance of it lmao)

I still think that with your IDP scoring as it is, Smith is far too much to be giving in addition to 1.01. If I were the other owner I would smash accept this to get 1.01 and Smith.

Let me start out by saying I do not play IDP. But I will say, the 1.01 in PPR does not have a stand out. I can name 4 guys who could go 1.01. So the 1.03 to the 1.01 is not a big jump so getting 1.05 is huge on top of that. I am not sure how high Smith ranks on LBs but it seems like moving back 2 and picking up the 1.05 might be worth it.

I should make it clear that while LB's are pretty valuable, I didn't mean to make it seem like his value was equivalent to Jacobs. To put Smith's value into perspective a bit more, I acquired him in a mid season trade this year:

a) Melvin Gordon
b) 2.05, Jaylon Smith

I do think I got Smith at a good value in this trade, but at least that should give everyone a better idea on where he sits in comparison to regular offensive players

Declined, he agreed with the valuation but just isn't interested anymore. I'll probably hold until after the NFL Draft cuz I know that 1.01 will probably be more solidified then
