Derrick Henry for Akers or CEH?

I just won back to back championships with Henry and have good youth behind him in Taylor and Dobbins. Should I move Henry at peak value for another young potential RB1 like Akers or CEH, or just try riding Henry to another championship or two?

Another owner who is loaded at WR is interested in Henry. I might be able to a package involving D.J. Moore, Tee Higgins and picks.

I’m leaning toward keeping Henry but wanted to get other opinions. Thanks.

If you can swap Henry for Akers I'd do it quickly.

I would move Henry for Moore and Higgins which is unlikely or I would just ride him for another year and hope for another title. Henry is a tough asset right now because he is elite but no one will give what he is worth based on age. I would rather hold than sell low.

You could try and move him for WR's, but it already looks like you've already got a pretty good core there. If you can do a deal for Akers or CEH that seems reasonable I would do that, but unless it sets you up well for future success I would just let the King take you to another championship.

I would rather have CEH > Akers but I would want them to add to get Henry.

To start, I am all for swapping Henry for a younger RB, but I would ideally want a better gamble than CEH or Akers. I'm not particularly high on CEH, but I would want him over Akers. I think Higgins is the best long term piece in any of the offers, but you don't have a need a WR and would be creating a need at RB. I would go for CEH, but I would want at least a late 1st added. Otherwise, I would hold.

I voted to keep Henry.

The only option I would consider would be Akers, but I don't think he'll ever be as studly as Henry will be in 2021.

I understand wanting to unload Henry before the wheels fall off his wagon, but as a fellow Henry owner, I have a feeling I'm going to ride him until the wheels fall off. It's hard to get FMV for a player like Henry. And if I can't get equal value I can't move a player as beastly as Henry.

Thanks for the advice. The Akers owner rejected my offer. I think I’m going to ride Henry into the sunset, or at least another season or two.

Ultimately you play to win championships. And for a 16 team league you have a super strong squad . Henry, who will be 28 this time next year, is worth much more to a team like yours. He's no guantee to net you your third title in a row, but he certainly gives you a good chance. That chance isnt something to give up lightly. So unless someone pays a price for him as he was 24/25 years old, I'd keep him.

I actually like the 1.03 + 2nd, depending on where that 2nd is. Najee plus a WR feels like nice value for a 27yo Henry coming off back to back ~400 carry seasons.

I don’t see a point in trading Dobbins. Even if he spends the majority of 2021 as a bye week/flex guy/injury replacement on my team, he’s my successor to Henry as early as 2022. He should be a RB1 for a few seasons after Henry starts to decline.

I think this is a perfect example of overthinking it. We play fantasy to do what? WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS. Henry 100% won one for you last year and was a huge part of you winning this year. Go win now, you never know what tomorrow brings.

I’d take Higgins+ or DJM+. Great time to get a top 15 WR who you can start for the next 5-8 years for an aging rb.

The fact that you won back to back makes it easier to trade Henry for younger rb. It kinda takes the sting out if you were to not win this year. It will help you in the long term to continue to be a top 2-3 team in your league for prolly the next 4-5 years.
