1.05 options

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.05 options

Postby zaner75 » Wed Jan 20, 2021 9:24 pm

14 team PPR Superflex going into 1st offseason.
My QBs are:
Lamar Jackson
Justin Herbert
Carson Wentz
Drew Lock
Jordan Love

Going to explore the trade market for the QBs I have but if I don't receive adequate offers, is it crazy to consider drafting another QB at 1.05, if Zach Wilson and/or Trey Lance are available?
Thanks in advance for any and all input. Cheers.

Wentz and Lock are question marks at the moment. Love is more of a stash for the future. I would say if a QB that gets drafted into a good situation makes it to 1.05, that’s a good play if there isn’t a more pressing need for your team.

I wouldn't move Wentz Lock or Love right now because their value is so low. If you hang on, Wentz's value will triple once he has 1 good game. Love needs Rodgers to stop looking so good to get on the field so he can look good. Lock will hopefully bounce back with his WR1 next year.

I think it depends on who is available once you are on the clock but adding another starting QB is never a bad option in SF.

In a 14 team SF it’s definitely not crazy to keep attacking qb if it’s best player available in your opinion. You have a great qb core already in a 14 teamer so I assume the rest of your roster has some holes?

14 team SF I think unless the first 4 picks go QB-Qb-Qb-Qb, as of right now I'm grabbing a QB. I think Lawrence, Fields, Wilson, and Lance will all be viable NFL QBs.
Infact if those 4 qbs are gone before 1.05, I'd probably look to move back and acquire some more value.

Thank you for the feedback. Currently have Chase as the only non-QB in my top 5 and wasn't sure if thinking about adding another QB was a wise option.
I definitely will not be selling low on any QBs and I feel I have the QB assets (players + 1.05) to make a move via trading a QB or the pick for multiple pieces to improve my roster.
Here's my full roster and starting lineup settings if anyone wants to comment on potential areas to target (other than TE which I know is a wasteland on my team). Cheers.

While you have a couple holes depth-wise and with an older player or two, you are in a decent spot. DJ Moore and Higgins for a nice young WR duo and I believe at least one of your backup QBs will see a value increase next year. The currency afforded by having extra QBs in a 12-team SF is nice, so I can’t imagine it would be anything but better in a 14- team. If QB is BPA at that spot, I would definitely take one. It doesn’t appear you’re ready to compete yet, so I always default to the most valuable positions in that situation.
