CEH Trade

Hello! Team in the signature below... I have the CEH owner attempting to trade for some of my picks and the latest offer he proposed is:

Give: 1.04, 2.02, 2.04

Receive: CEH, Mike Williams

I'm obviously in desperate need of RBs.. This trade would net me CEH and leave me with 1.07 and 2.01 to add some more depth elsewhere.. I don't think I'll be competing although I did make the playoffs with this same exact roster this year.. Should I hold the picks and try to build more depth or snag CEH and hope to hit on the remaining picks??

In a 1QB, I'd take CEH and Williams.

Give me CEH.

Last year, I wanted nothing to do with him in rookie drafts or startups because I thought he was vastly overvalued.

This year I think he's a great buy, and only giving up 1.04 and a couple 2nds is good value for him.

At this point in the offseason, 1.04 in 1QB is looking like it’s going to be a WR or slight reach at RB (this is just prospect based, can change after combine and draft), so I would take CEH/Williams with the larger need wing RB rather than WR.

CEH since you are in big need of RB, but I honestly prefer Smith to CEH if he falls to 1.04 which most would likely not agree with.

This is what I'm struggling with.. I'm always partial to building around WRs and Smith will most likely be there, whom I love as a prospect.. but man my RBs are rough..

Again, is probably not a popular opinion, but I would not trade Smith for CEH full well knowing it's always a gamble a prospect may not turn out. This could be a draft day trade if all does not fall well, but I would struggle to trade the right to Smith or Chase and it's hard to see one of them not being there at the 1.04. All that being said, your RB's are hurting and CEH may turn into a stud, but...

I countered with 1.04 and 2.02 for CEH and he pulled out of the deal because "multiple sites have him as top 5 next year" I think he read a fantasy pros article.. I think it would have been good value, if you end up pursuing something similar.

He has now come back with an offer of: Lamar, CEH, Golladay for Godwin, Wentz, 1.04, 2.01, 2.02

Seems pretty close to fair.. I'm thinking of countering with AROB instead of Golladay

Any new thoughts?

That’s not a bad deal, it just comes down to what you think you’re getting and you team direction. Lamar is still top 5-6 for QBs, you need RBs and CEH should still produce, and Golladay is special if he can stay on the field. I think the value is slightly on that side, although I do like Godwin and that 2.01 and 2.02 are essentially late 1sts in most leagues. I just don’t know if that matters as much in a non-SF. They are good picks, but usually not top tier prospects unless the draft is deep. Since this one is said to be, you may want to consider which 2nd tier RBs would be available with those picks and build that way. Tannehill will give you decent production at QB for a couple more years.
