Jefferson v. RB +

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Jefferson v. RB +

Postby Edgy68 » Thu Jan 14, 2021 5:15 pm

For Panthers, I stand corrected that I had a shot at Jefferson and the 2.02 for Mixon and Golladay.

He came back with Jefferson for Swift + 2.06 or Jefferson + 2.08 for Jacobs + Golladay. I value both those RBs at least close to Jefferson and feel both these offers are overpays and don’t put my team in a better position. I may have to back away.

That said, my main question is about Jefferson himself. After only one year, has he demonstrated the skill to be a fantasy fixture for the future? I like what I saw, but is it enough to give up a young RB to obtain his services?

If so, I may offer my Swift + 2.06 for Jefferson + 2.10 (will start with 2.08) or my Jacobs + 2.04 (will start with 2.06) for Jefferson + 2.02. Any thoughts?

You have the depth to move either RB. I would move Jacobs over Swifr. If Jefferson is your guy, you will have to overpay to lock him up. If he continues trending up, he will be obtainable and you will wish you made a deal this offseason. Again, an overpay is required when buying Jefferson this offseason.

Jacobs/2nd would be fine for Jefferson, IMO. If you can get a pick back with Jefferson that would be great!

JJ put up one of the best rookie WR seasons of all time. What about him makes you question if he will be a fantasy fixture moving forward? He seems much safer than an RB who naturally get hurt more often and have generally shorter careers.

I understand, which is why I’d like JJ. I don’t like to overreact to small samples, but he looked great from the start. I’ll play around with the picks, since he showed interest in Jacobs.

He also has interest in Juju. I feel like an offer of Juju+Mixon would be pretty even for Jefferson as well. Which offer would be better to persue? Jacobs+pick(s) or Juju+Mixon
