Value Difference: Keenan vs. Higgins
I'm looking to do a small rebuild in a 10tm Superflex league (not in signature)
I'm trying to sell Keenan but not sure what the difference between him and Tee Higgins would be.
Other owner won the championship this year so he has the 1.10, 2.10, 3.10
Only other piece he has that I'm interested in or would fit this trade would be Joshua Kelley
What's the value difference here?
Here's my team if it helps:
(Start: 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2WRT, 1WT, 1SF)
QB: Wilson, Wentz, Haskins, Mullens
RB: Chubb, Mixon, Conner, Hines, Duke, Murray, Coleman, Hill
WR: Hopkins, Keenan, DJM, Julio, Boyd, T.Smith
TE: Ertz, Jonnu, Knox, Njoku, Jarwin-(IR)
2021 picks: 4.03

Re: Value Difference: Keenan vs. Higgins
Based on age, I actually have these two pretty close depending on what team goals are. Both are worth an early ish to mid 1st for me. I'm high on both players though.
Re: Value Difference: Keenan vs. Higgins
I'm high on both players and if it was moving from competing team to rebuild, I would imagine it would be almost a straight swap. If you could get a late second too that would be good value IMO.

Re: Value Difference: Keenan vs. Higgins
I think Allen still carries more value than Tee. I would want a piece that would also help my build on top and Josh Kelley isn't that for me. If you can get the 1st, pull he trigger, otherwise this is a hold for me

Re: Value Difference: Keenan vs. Higgins
I agree, and I actually think this roster could still compete as-is if things break right for me. (QB needs to be addressed though)
Just wanted to make sure asking the 1st on top wasn't too unreasonable
Re: Value Difference: Keenan vs. Higgins
I have Keenan higher, but not significantly so.

I love Keenan but he turns 29 in a few months. Higgins is still inly 21. I don’t think many are moving Higgins for Keenan straight up. If you can do it, go for it.

lol....I sent Keenan + 4.03 for Higgins + 1.10
He responded “Bro Keenan is WASHED UP”
Yikes, KA is just gonna be one of those guys that’s always undervalued. I can understand not taking the trade, but he’s far from washed

Re: Value Difference: Keenan vs. Higgins
The only good thing about all those early career injuries is that it kept him rather fresh lol. This is the first season since 2016 that he has missed games (2).killer_of_giants wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 9:09 amin the past four seasons he's missed 2 games, has 400+ catches, 4700+ yards and 26 TDs. He will always be undervalued, he simply had so many injuries problems early in his year that people kept writing him off, even though he has been a WR1 for the past 3-4 seasons. Now he's "old".
His career stats just for reference: I'd wish all my washed up WRs were 150 target, 100 receptions, 1000 yards, and 6 TD machines

Re: Value Difference: Keenan vs. Higgins
The assertion that Keenan is washed is absurd. Yes, he turns 29 in April, but I think Herbert keeps him a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 at worst for at least 2-3 more years. I also don't see him having a steep decline after that. All that said, I have Keenan just slightly ahead of Higgins, but that is based on Keenan's reality vs Higgins' potential. Straight up is likely the best you could hope for to obtain Higgins though because, as you said, Keenan is continually and criminally undervalued.Prison_Mike wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 9:00 amlol....I sent Keenan + 4.03 for Higgins + 1.10

Re: Value Difference: Keenan vs. Higgins
I think in either situation I would have Higgins above Keenan. If you can get Higgins on a rebuild for a straight swap I would jump on that. On all but an all-in sytle competing team I would prefer Higgins due to the 7 year age difference. I think in a 3 year window Higgins outscores Keenan. I expect Keenan to outscore him next year, they will probably be similar the year after, I think by year 3 Higgins is outscoring Keenan. But I also wouldn't be surprised if Higgins and Allen are close starting this season.

Re: Value Difference: Keenan vs. Higgins
Trading Allen for Higgins will be tough to pull off unless the Higgins owner is all-in on trying to win 2021.
Production vs potential value aside, 29 years old vs 21 years old is notable, as is the fact that Higgins is one of the more exciting dynasty assets to own right now. Higgins is a very shiny new toy, while Allen is an aging toy that hasn't been shiny since he was a devy prospect... regardless of how well he produces year after year since starting his NFL career with a drop in the draft and some injuries.
Looks like you could contend next year if Wentz/Ertz/Mixon etc produce to their potential... but if you move Allen for Higgins or a different young player, I'd probably keep it going and also trade Julio/Ertz to get your roster on the same page/age window.
Wont take much to retool this roster, but I think it's smart to cash out on a few players now to avoid potentially falling off a cliff in 2-3 years.

Re: Value Difference: Keenan vs. Higgins
i prefer higgens over KA. this is dynasty and at this point in the league year, you are looking long term. If it was last year at the trade deadline and Burrow was out and herbert was doing what he was doing, then i can see KA for the run. just my 2 cents
