Huge trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Huge trade

Postby Krissi24 » Tue Jan 12, 2021 4:47 am

12 Team 0.5 PPR starting QB, 2RB, 4WR, TE, FLEX

My roster (Starters)
QB: Burrow, Big Ben
RB: Mixon, Gibson, Drake, Mostert
WR: Michael Thomas, Diggs, Sutton, Woods, Beasley, Bourne
TE: Waller, Tonyan, Njoku

2021 picks: 2.02

I give:
Michael Thomas
Sutton
Waller

I get:
Barkley
Evans

Should I go ahead and make the trade?

I would end up with Barkley, Mixon and Gibson at RB and would try to move Mostert and Drake for WR or picks.
My WRs would be Diggs, Evans, Woods, Beasley and rookie (2.02)
At TE I would be left with Tonyan.

What do you guys think?

Evans = MT
Barkely > Sutton+Waller

This is close but I lean yes. I love Waller (he helped me win a few titles this year.) but its not a bad time to get out. I'm not the highest on Barkley, but he's still considered an elite dynasty asset.

It's no slam dunk but I would do it.

Barkley's health is a concern, but if he regains his health he is a 5yr top 5 RB. Your RBs now are a decent Gibson, uneven production from Mixon, and crumbs. Getting a healthy Barkley really improves your team.

Evans gives you back a significant portion of Thomas' production. Before clicking yes, I'd try to keep Waller out of the deal. I'm not sold on Tonyan being the long term answer in GB. If the deal requires Waller, I'd still do it but try to keep him. Or see if you can replace Waller in the deal with Tonyan.

I'm normally all in favor of grabbing stud RBs at reasonable prices, which this is. With four WR spots to fill tho and the advantage that Waller gives, I think that making this trade likely hurts your weekly production.

This is close enough that I wouldn't be mad at going either way here, but I would lean towards holding what you've got considering your format.

Thanks for all of your comment. really appreciate it and very helpful.

I have been asking around and I am able to get Corey Davis, Gallup, Parker or robby Anderson for my 2.02 or Pittman for 2.02 + Drake. That would solve some of my depth issues at WR if I would pull the trigger on the Barkley/MT trade. I am really close to accepting the deal
MT, Waller, Sutton
for
Barkley and Evans

I like Davis for the 2.02, but it's a gamble with an unknown landing spot currently.
