Baker Trade

Postby youknowme » Sat Jan 09, 2021 10:03 pm

12 team PPR

Give: Baker
Get: DJ Moore + 1.06

I have an excess of WRs but think getting Moore would be amazing plus I don’t have a 1st so thinking I could get a RB in the draft

Should I hold? Or do it?
12 Team (SuperFlex PPR)
Start 3WR/2RB,1 WR/RB FLEX, 1 Superflex

QB: Josh Allen, Kyler Murray, Baker, Z. Wilson, Stetson Bennett, Jaren Hall

RB: Jacobs, Taylor, Chubb, Sanders, Jerome Ford, Achane

WR: AJ Brown, Pittman, Keenan Allen, Ridley, R. Woods, Mooney, Jameson Williams, Allen Robinson, Calvin Austin, Tre Tucker

TE: McBride, Engram, Goedert

I like the Moore side in theory, but you have some big uncertainty in your QB room for SF.

I’d do it but I’m not sure how good of a RB you can get with the 1.06. I’m just not a Baker believer at all

Im probably hanging tight for now. The trade value actually isn't terrible, I just worry about your QBs. If you do it, don't just look at RB at 1.06. I would look at BPA and in this draft it's probably a QB.

Value is right, but your QBs have a lot of questions right now. Is Wentz going to be starting for another team next year? Will Big Ben be back?

I’m still a Baker believer myself, so I think I might hold here. I could see making this move though based on value.

I’d do it, definitely understand the qb points/concerns but I like the value too much.

I like the Moore side but agree with others that your QB room is not as strong as it would be last year.

Mahomes, Lawrence
Najee, Swift, Javonte, Jamaal W, Murray
DK, DJM, Juju, Jameson, Gallup, Van
Pitts, Friermuth
1.01, 1.04, 1.11, 1.12, 3.10, 2 firsts next year

Team 2: 12 Team, SF TEP (1.5 PPR)
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex, 1 SF

DK, AJB, Ridley, McLaurin, Kupp, Landry, Mims, Hamler, Miller, Johnson, Robinson

To me this is very easily DJ Moore and the 1.06. In SF you have a very good chance of landing a very solid pick or even the 3rd QB off the board which has a decent chance of out producing baker.

Baker owner for full disclosure; but his second half of the season this year (mostly once OBJ was out) was really good outside of the stinker against the Jets when they basically lost their entire WR room. So while you're getting good value on the trade, it's when Baker is basically at his floor value wise. Think people set unrealistic expectations after his record breaking rookie debut, and now see anything less than that as a bust. In SF and with your QBs I'd be holding Baker. Hopefully they stick with the RPO, get another WR threat and jettison OBJ (or at least tell Baker to stop feeling obligated to force feed him at risk to the success of the offense as a whole), and continue using the best RB tandem in the NFL to keep the deep ball open for him. If you really wanna move him, I'd say wait till next season when his value inevitably rebounds.
