Suggestions for pick 1-5 upcoming 2021 draft

Postby gman6199 » Sat Jan 09, 2021 9:11 am

I’m in a 10team 1-pt PPR. I have the1-5 and the 2-6 pick in the upcoming rookie draft. Looking at my team what position would you draft with the 1-5?

If the board falls the way I think Etienne and Harris are gone as well as Chase and Smith. What RB and WR are worth the 5th pick or should I trade the pick away?

Bonus question: Who should I look to trade from my roster? Thanks for any help

**ETIENNE, HARRIS, CHASE AND SMITH ARE OFF THE BOARD AT PICK 1-5**

QB: Cousins, Mayfield and Hurts
RB: Dobbins, Gibson, Michel, McKissic, Ingram, Edwards, Freeman, Foreman
WR: Golliday, OBJ, Jeudy, Crowder, R Anderson Pittman, Slayton, G Davis, Campbell, Guyton, John Ross, Pringle
TE: L Thomas, Enron, Bryant
K: Zuerlein
Def: Pittsburgh

Drafting before the nfl draft huh? Great trade down spot if you can move down a few spots, if not take your favorite WR.

Tough to draft before landing spots, but I would be looking at Smith or Waddle here.

I think you mean that you have the 1.05 and 2.06 pick. When you say 1-5, that would be if you have pick one through 5.

I’m curious why you don’t have Pitts listed as a possibility?

I think you mean pick 1.5 when you say 1-5. Either way, I’m curious about what to do in a similar spot (1.6). I’d also be considering Pitts there in addition to ones you listed.
12 team. PPR. QB pass td = 6
Starters: QB(1) FLEX (RB/WR/TE)(2) RB(2) WR(3) TE(1)

QB: AR, DJones
RB: Gibby, Charb, KMiller, Akers
WR: Chase, Lamb, G Wilson, Tank Dell, Burks, Mimsy, Tutu, W Robinson, Tucker, Wicks, RBell
TE: DNjoku, Hunter Henry

Draft Picks: 2024: 1.2, 1.5, 1.11. 2025: 1st Round (2) 2nd Round (1), 2026: 1st Round (1) 2nd Round (2)

Drafting before the NFL draft adds a layer of risk. We know Lawrence is going to Jax and most feel like Pitts is a sure top 15 pick. Your team needs a QB and TE so I would be choosing between Lawrence and Pitts there.

I agree, why not Pitts? To me he's a locked in top 15 pick in the draft, is the epitome of elite Fantasy TE upside and whatever team drafts him will be drafting him to be a heavily involved receiving TE.

Drafting before the NFL draft, I'd be trading this pick if there was any reasonable offer on the table.

Tough to judge this far out but I would probably look at Pitts or Waddle. Pitts is a great option being that he’s a potential difference maker at position that lacks depth.

Ideally trade back if not pitts is by far the safest guy here with still some upside.
Javonte is too risky to wind up not going where some think he might
Waddle as an injured small speedster needs spot and draft capital
The rest who knows where they go in the draft so definitely not worth the pick
