D.Henry vs JT

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

D.Henry vs JT

Postby Zech13 » Fri Jan 08, 2021 5:19 pm

14 team SF PPR

What’s the gap between Henry and JT. If contending who do you want?

Thanks

They are both great pieces. I still think Henry is elite next year and obviously proven. Taylor is up and coming and younger which makes his value likely more. I think they are pretty even with the slight value nod to Taylor based on age and overall community value.

I believe next season both will be elite options. I don’t doubt that Henry can do what he did again this season but I think the smart thing to do is expect some sort of regression from Henry and expect more production from JT

JT because of age for me
Team 1:
10 team SF, .5 ppr
1-QB 1-SF 3-WR 2-RB 1-TE 1-Flex
QB: Allen, Burrow, Goff, Aidan OConnel
RB: ETN, K Walker, Swift, D Pierce, Monty, Herbert, McLaughlin
WR: Deebo, AJB, Lamb, DJM, Dell, Higgins, Jeudy, E Moore, Michael Wilson, Tutu
TE: Kinkaid, Schultz, Njoku

Gotta be JT due to age. Henry is amazing and might give you a better year, but by how much? And if he does regress, what would that mean for his value? JT looks great and I'd stick with him.

I have JT over Henry at this point. I don’t worry so much about Henry for 2021, but with the Titans having a potential out after 2021 (with only his 2020 and 2021 salaries being guaranteed in his extension), there is a big question mark after 2021 if he happens to slow down. Age and contractual factors combine to lower my position on him from a dynasty perspective to the point that, despite coming off of a 2,000 yard season, I would want an early-mid 1st on top of Henry to move JT. I understand that most will not have this big of a gap between Henry and JT, but if I’m giving up 5-6 years at RB and assuming majority of risk, I want a shot at a young guy to eventually replace Henry via the draft.

FWIW, I put my money where my mouth is and traded Henry for Swift straight up last week for the reasons I mentioned above.
