Ertz value in TE premium

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Ertz value in TE premium

Postby HughHoney » Thu Jan 07, 2021 8:32 am

Just finished year 1 in a SF/TE premium/devy league. Overall I drafted very young. Have had someone asking about Ertz. About where would you put his value in terms of rookie picks, Devy picks, or similarly valued WR in TE premium?

So tough to value Ertz right now after the season he and the Eagles had. I would still think a late 1st is a fair ask.

I don’t believe anyone would give a first for ertz after the year he just had. Couldn’t even be a “average” TE on a team needing help in the receiving game as much as any team.

With that being said a 2nd for him in SF/TE prem. Would be enough for me. That was as miserable of a season as you could’ve imagined for him. And the fact he isn’t even wanted back in Phili makes it even murkier. Maybe he goes to the Saints or patriots. 🤷🏻‍♂️
10 team league....16 offensive keepers selected by April first. 28 man rosters during the season. 1 keeper defense and 1 keeper kicker.

Start 1 QB 6 pt passing TD, 2 RBs, 3 WR, 1 flex, 1 TE.

QBs- Dak P
RBs- miles sanders, CEH, Najee Harris, Antonio gibson, James robinson, Boston Scott, qadree ollison, eno Benjamin, Sony michel, kerryon Johnson, gerrid Doaks, Larry rountree,

Always tough to evaluate pick value in a devy league where it’s depleted. How many devy players? I’d think in a devy depleted draft you’d have to get at least a late 1. He’d probably be a hold for me, hope he leaves and gets some value back.

2 per team so 24 are taken. Definitely depleted. I’m thinking he’s a hold too as I’m not going to get what I have him valued at.

Top 24 devy players taken, I would hold Ertz aside from a early first which I doubt you get from him.

There will be a boost to his value when he goes elsewhere. And with 24 devy players gone, doesn’t that make a 1st in your league similar to a 3rd? In TE premium, he’s worth more than your league mates think. Let him go elsewhere. Whether you sell on the hype from the move or after a couple of games of production, he’ll earn you more than you’ll get right now. The other owner is trying to buy now for the same reason.
