12T SF
Would you give up 1.03 + Reagor or Pittman for Jefferson?

Chase will most likely be there and was better than Jefferson in college but actual nfl production still trumps imaginary production.

Hm...I'd easily do this in 1QB but I don't play SF so can't say for sure. I guess my issue with doing that deal now is: what if Chase, Najee or Etienne ends up in an A+ situation? Then SF 1.03 would become significantly more valuable (either Fields falls to you or you get that guy in the crazy good situation).

Are you assuming Lawrence and Fields go 1 and 2? If so, keep JJ

x2 - If Lawrence is gone (which I assume is a guarantee) I would grab Jefferson.

Chase made Jefferson the WR #2 in college. Not taking anything away from Jefferson but if Chase lands in a halfway decent landing spot, I will be the conductor of his hype train. I'd keep the pick but definitely know that I will be in the minority doing so.

Careful with this. Aiyuk was WR2 to Harry in college.

Also there really wasn't that big of a gap in Chase and Jefferson's production in 2019: 84/1780/20 vs 111/1540/18. I know Jefferson was more in the slot but I've heard that this had something to do with Jefferson being more effective than Chase in the slot. Jefferson has already made the transition to the NFL in an historic way, and Chase hasn't played organized football in a year. Yes, Chase is my WR1 in this class still, but I'm not going to put him particularly close to the Jefferson tier anytime soon.

I 100% agree that they should not be close. I just watched too many LSU games that year and saw how good Chase made Burrow look on some spotty throws. I know that Chase isn't close to Jefferson right now but I can't wait to get Chase in every spot possible.

For the Harry Aiyuk comparison, Chase did it while being a year below Jefferson. Harry was there an extra year although they were both Juniors. Good comp of what could happen but there are also a lot more situations where the top guy ends up being better in the NFL.

In the 2019 comparison, Jefferson played an extra game and it was close. I am not trying to take anything away from Jefferson who I am extremely high on and have been (I actually had him as my WR 3 this year behind Jeudy and Lamb and people told me to take Reagor or Ruggs or Akers but I took Jefferson), Chase put up those numbers as the alpha on a team that player a lot of very talented defenses.

Again, I know I am in the wrong for not wanting that trade but I wouldn't be able to make it.

Also I appreciate the conversation here, I have seen a lot of weirdly negative stuff on this page attacking back and forth posts calling people dumb.

I love him but I jokingly said that the cult following he is getting is making me dislike a player I actually like haha
