Overpay for 1.1?

Happy New Year DLFers!

Looking at moving to acquire 1.1 (Entienne). It’s still early, and I have 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, 1.9, 2.2, 2,4, in this draft as trade bait.

Offered 1.6 and 1.9 without success. I am not sure I want to overpay on this pick and I have been in a virtual rebuild since day one in this league (with finally light at the end of the tunnel going into 2021 and 2022). The wrs are excellent in this draft and I assume I get a shot at a RB dart of the top 3 in this class.

Happy New Year. In a rebuild, I would not overpay for the pick and keep your picks and add as many prospects as you can.

As of right now I would need the 1.04 at a minimum (of your picks) to be included to move down from 1.01. and I don't think it's an overpay right now.

Would be helpful to know your roster, but if you are in a rebuild then I would hold your picks.

In same boat and might have to drop some of my players on roster to make room for incoming rookies. I think I’d want najee or Etienne depending on if you need an rb

Disagree - to acquire the 1.01 today, it will require an overpay. The current owner will be assuming all the risk, especially in SF.

Everyone keeps saying "overpay". The initial offer of the 1.06 and 1.09 was not an overpay or even an equal value trade as of right now. There are easily 3-4 players that as of right now are ahead of the other rookies and by a decent margin for me. I see no reason to trade my choice of one of those players for 2 shots at lesser players.

As I've always said, pre-NFL draft I'm always looking to move up in the rookie draft where it makes sense. If you want the 1.01 try 1.04+1.09 I wouldn't go much higher than that though.

Your first offer was close to even value, but if I hold the 1.01 i'm not looking for even value. It'll take a little more to get me off the 1.01 most years, but it also depends on my roster. You could try the 1.04 and 1.09, but if that doesn't work just hold. Or, go for the 1.02. Have either Najee or Etienne.

I think you can offer the 1.4 and 1.8/9 for the 1.1 if you really want ETN. Tough to say confidently without knowing how big your rebuild is. Regardless though, if you like ETN, it would be more fun to pick him than 2 other guys later in the draft. If he is a superstar, you won't regret making the trade

Made the trade today (1.4, 1.9 and 15 notes for 1.1). My rebuild on this team is pretty deep with JK being my current best RB. The team is very young and I will look at ETN or Harris come draft day. ETN is where my focus is currently. I also still have the (1.1 in the deal) 1.6, 1.8, 2.2,2.7, 3.1, 3.2, and 4.1.
