Get Kyler in SF? (Poll)

Postby Hankybro21 » Wed Dec 16, 2020 9:56 am

10tm SF. Team is as follows

QB: Lamar, Tua, Stafford, Darnold, Dalton
RB: JT, Miles, Akers, Harris, Mack, Pollard, Mattison
WR: DK, DJM, Chark, Deebo, Parris, Jeudy, Gabe Davis, MWill
TE: Tonyan, Gesicki

I've been offered the following:

Give: Tua + Akers
Get: Kyler

The catch is that I have 1.01 and will take Trevor unless I can trade it. I don't think I'll be able to land an RB in the draft so moving Akers would deplete my RB depth pretty quickly. But, Kyler is great, and getting him would give me Lamar + Kyler + Trevor at QB. I can always move Stafford for RB help as well. Thoughts?
Team 1
Q: Allen, Lamar
W: Devonta, Nuk, Godwin, Adams, Diontae, MT, Bateman, Toney, Osborn
R: JT, Henry, Ekeler, Gibbs, Mattison, Ford
T: Kelce

Team 2
Q: Allen, Mahomes, ARich
W: Jefferson, AJB, Tyreek, GW, Ridley, Godwin, MT, Downs, Toney
R: JT, CMC, Barkley, Breece, J. Cook, Kamara
T: Kelce, Hock
2024: 1.02, 1.04, Pick 21
2025: 1st (early)

Team 3
Q: Lamar, Herbert, Goff, Geno
W: Chase, AJB, Waddle, Pittman, Ridley, MT, Terrace Marshall, Downs
R: CMC, Ekeler, Bijan, Barkley, JT, Kamara, Tucker
T: Andrews, Granson
2024: 1.03, 3rd (late)

Team 4
Q: Mahomes, Allen, Geno
W: Tyreek, Lamb, Ridley, Pittman, Diontae, MT
R: CMC, Henry, JT, Chubb, Dobbins, Tucker
T: Kelce, Gesicki, Kittle

With owning the 1.01 also, I would grab Murray here.

Tua looks pretty good, I wouldn’t be surprised if he closes the value gap between him and Murray in the next few years. I’m going Tua/Akers.

Strictly looking at position and offenses here. I believe the cardinals take a leap forward next year on offense. Tua could improve no doubt but with the 1.1 I’d be going straight for Kyler. Maybe even moving the 1.1 for another solid RB and pick.

Start 1 QB 6 pt passing TD, 2 RBs, 3 WR, 1 flex, 1 TE.

To ur thinking, Stafford and Darnold could be packaged for a decent RB, but the outcome for Darnold will play into that value a lot. Another Darnold variable is to try now and see if another owner already thinks Darnold stock is going up.

U could also prob package those two QBs for a pretty good pick in SF. But a pick good enough to get a top 2-4 RB prospect?

It’s almost a toss up for me.

I'd take Kyler here. Draft Lawrence, then move Stafford plus something for a RB.
Team 1: 12 team, PPR
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex

Mahomes, Lawrence
Najee, Swift, Javonte, Jamaal W, Murray
DK, DJM, Juju, Jameson, Gallup, Van
Pitts, Friermuth
1.01, 1.04, 1.11, 1.12, 3.10, 2 firsts next year

Team 2: 12 Team, SF TEP (1.5 PPR)
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex, 1 SF

Mahomes, Burrow, Cousins, Rudolph
CEH, Swift, Gibson, Jacobs, Mattison, Scott, McFarland
DK, AJB, Ridley, McLaurin, Kupp, Landry, Mims, Hamler, Miller, Johnson, Robinson
Andrews, H. Henry, Sternberger, Alie-Cox, Herndon

Same as Team 2
Watson, Burrow, Lance, Z. Wilson
Pollard, Mattison
Chase, D. Smith, Boyd, Hardman, E. Moore, Cephus, A. Rodgers, Harry, Boykin, A. Tate, Miller
Hockenson, Thomas, Albert O, Njoku
3 additional firsts

Same as Team 2
TLaw, Burrow, Watson, Darnold
CEH, Gus, Cohen
Juju, Chark, Shenault, Boyd, Landry, Renfrow, Robinson,

What tier QB is Stafford getting at this point do you think? There are some QB needy teams in this league but their RB rooms are all that great either. Might be a tough matchup

I'll take the package. 21 isn't rumored to be a great RB class, so Akers is a hold with an ascending QB like Tua

I mean being super flex, isn’t it more logical to take the stud fantasy QB? RBs are very shaky even if you hit on one in draft picks or what not. I’d be taking the QB value here. You could hit a saquan Barkley and still be waiting for production. I’d move tua and Akers for Kyler and trade the other QBs for draft capital or a RB. Less risk there. Akers is nice, but Kyler is very nice in super flex. Tua COULD be nice. We will see.

This is actually pretty easy for me, especially with your RB situation. In SF, I much prefer Trevor/Lamar/Tua/Akers/random RB for Stafford, versus Lamar/Kyler/Stafford/random RB at 1.01. I think that’s essentially what this boils down to. Keep in mind that Kyler is (1) small in stature and (2) fading as 2020 continues on (ie dont overpay). Tua could very well be >> Kyler come this time next year.

So if I did the deal my QBs would be Lamar, Kyler, and Trevor. RBs would be JT, Miles, whatever I can get in a Stafford deal.

If I didn't do the deal my QBs are Lamar, Tua, Trevor. RBs are JT, Miles, Akers. Then I can hold Stafford if I want to or go ahead and move him for RB help.

Right, sorry, I read your original post too quickly and thought you would go RB at 1.01 if you made the deal. I still much prefer the Lamar/Tua/Trevor/Akers/random RB for Stafford option . . . over Lamar/Kyler/Trevor/(no Akers)/random RB for Stafford option. Pretty easy decline for me, especially with your lack of RB depth.

I’d hold as well. Murray looks good, but Tua appears able to progress and I think he’s a slightly better prospect overall than Kyler. That hasn’t happened yet, I realize. In a 10-team, QB2s don’t always generate a much pull in trade as they do in larger leagues. What kind of RB could Stafford fetch? If it’s not as good a prospect as Akers appears to be over these last couple games, I think you are taking more of a risk than you need to.
I’d roll with Lamar, Tua, and Trevor and not have to worry about QB for a while. You keep Akers and have less to worry about at RB, making the Stafford trade a luxury rather than a necessity. You would have time to make a good trade.
