Trade Who for Thielen?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade Who for Thielen?

Postby DLF3000 » Fri Dec 11, 2020 1:44 pm

So with Golladay still iffy for what seems like an eternity, should I trade for Thielen frome one of the dumpster fire teams? Would Jeudy for Thielen be fair or too much? Slayton and/or Viska instead?

I'm already in the playoffs, so this week is sort of a bye week, but come Week 15, all my current WR3 options feel high risk. Though I wouldn't mind continuing to start Gabriel Davis like I did this weekend - as long as John Brown stays out.
35 Team Dyn PPR, 3 x Copy SF start 2TE Super Prem (TE 2 PPR, 8pt TD), 6 pt/non-TE TD, 1pt/20 yds pass (300 +3pt), 1pt/10 yds rush/rec (100 +3pt)

Start 12: 1QB 1SFLX 2RB 4WR 2TE 2FLX | 30 Active Roster, unlim Taxi, 3 IR/Out (+) | est. '21 | playoffs '21, '22

QB - J Allen, T Lawrence ...
RB - A Ekeler, S Barkley, J Cook, I Pacheco ...
WR - AJ Brown, C Ridley, G Pickens, C Sutton ...
TE - D Njoku, D Knox ...

I would try to work something around Slayton for Thielen if it's an option. Thielen is a solid asset, but long term I would not give up on Jeudy already.

I would try something around Mostert-Thielen (maybe Mostert/Slayton for Thielen/?)

Jeudy/Shenault/Mims would be in my long-term WR3 Thielen (30) replacement plans (especially with Hopkins/Allen not being too far behind in age)

Viska for Thielen should be enticing enough to a non playoff team instead of Jeudy

Jeudy too much, slayton laughable offer in my opinion, leviska seems about right!

wouldn't move a 1st so rather sell Jeudy elsewhere. I'd be pumped to move Slayton + a little bit for Thielen. I'd hold Laviska personally but wouldn't criticize a swap

Yeah, trying something with Slayton first, even though I think he's criminally underrated and underused in that NYG dumpster fire.

Thielen's a very much this season playoffs move only so I'd rather not send top dynasty rookies like Jeudy or Viska, especially with several aging but strong vets already on team.

Why’s he a win this season only guy? Sure he’s aging but you think he’s just going to fall off a cliff next year?

I do, yeah, with Jefferson taking over as the guy. So I'm not a huge long-term fan of Thielen, but this year he's mostly been great.

Jefferson is crushing now and thielen is still doing well, so not sure why they can’t both thrive again next year. Their passing offense funnels through 2 guys, so even in a lowish volume offense they can both get theirs. He’s good, I personally don’t see what evidence there is to suggest that he’s not good next year.

Decided against it, pulled an early offer, trades are off the board during playoffs.

Going with the guys that got me here!
