Trade Hill?

Postby Jcedwards » Fri Nov 27, 2020 7:10 pm

So a guy in my league dropped Brian Hill earlier in the week and once it came out that Gurley missed Wednesday and Thursday’s practice, I picked him up. Now that Gurley is out, he is coming back wanting him and has made the following offer:

SEND: Hill and a 22 4th
RECEIVE: 21 3rd (mid right now) and Jordan Akins (pretty much a throw in)

My dilemma is that I am hurting at RB after Kamara and Aaron Jones, so Hill COULD be a nice hold (especially if Gurley is shut down for the year like some rumors are stating). Even with my RB situation, is this a no brainer? Or should I hold onto Hill for depth?

A 3rd is no guarantee to hit, so I'm not sure it's a fantastic deal, but its probably Hills value.

Yea that is true. A 3rd is hit or miss. I already have 4 picks in the 1st 2 rounds, so I wonder if adding a 5th pick in the draft will make it tough on who to cut come time

I would hold Hill. Like you mentioned Gurley could get shelved for the rest of the year. Plus Hill could play himself into a decent contract since he's a FA after this season.

If you're trying to win this year - hold or try and counter with your Hill and your 3rd for a 2nd. Can't hurt to try.

So I was afraid with the subpar game Hill put up that the deal would be off the table, but I went back to the guy and he said he was still interested. I think I have to jump all over it this time, even with my RB depth being thin.

I'd take the pick. Seems like someone is always overpaying for picks during the draft
