Aaron Jones vs mid/late 2021 first + montgomery

Friend asked me for advice about a trade offer he got in our league.

.5ppr 1qb 12 team,
he has only melvin gordon and aaron jones as real starting rbs, and is in contention for a top 3 pick in the draft (2-7 record, tied with 2nd worse team)

He's been offered a likely mid/late 2021 first + montgomery from a contender for his jones, on the thought that jones wont get an extension and should just sell now while he still has value since his team is likely going into rebuild.

Is it worth it for him in his current state, or should he keep him as probably his only starting rb going into next year/year after?

Jones side unless you're getting two early/mid 1sts back. Don't sell studs for JAGs and late picks.

I’d keep Jones here, that offer isn’t enough to move off of him.

Selling Jones could be a good idea, but I don't think Monty is a starting NFL RB next year. Get someone with a brighter future instead of him and it's more interesting.

Not a good trade. I would consider trading Jones however Lots of questions about his contract next year.
