I think your league makeup may have helped you on your trade. I'm in a 1st place tie in a 12 team league where JJ is being offered to me for my late 1st and Akers. In another league on the same site, he just went for Slayton plus a 2nd and 3rd. With Fuller, Lockett, and Claypool as my top three WR's, I could use JJ for the stretch run but feel two 1st round picks (Akers was my 1.07 this year) is a bit high. Not sure what kind of a counter will work yet.

No chance for a late 2021 2nd. I tried to get him earlier this week for two 2nds and it was rejected. I think the only way anyone is moving him for less than a 1st (or equivalent player), is if they are desperate for draft picks.

My trade offer just got pulled in the last hour so I have to decide if it's worth countering with something. He's mid-pack with just some bad luck and injuries issues that have kept him there. My thought was to offer my late 1st plus Akers for his mid-2nd and Julio, but I really hate to give up Akers. The other owner still has his own 1st. I know Akers hasn't had much of a chance to show anything, but really felt with his landing spot he was going to be late 2020 or next season as it was when I drafted him. I feel a 1st is what Julio is worth but this is a $$ league and staying in 1st place is worth something. None of the other teams in this 3-way tie have a 1st round pick left so I think he's chatting with me due to that. I'm rotating my QB's depending on the matchup and hopefully starting Jones/Kamara as my 2 RB's for the rest of the season. ONly Beasley has a bye coming up so Fuller, Lockett, and Claypool would normally start. Julio would be nice, especially for a couple more seasons and this was a orphan I picked up in May just before our draft, so finishing well would be great.

It's a simple question: what are the odds that the player picked will ever have a year as good as Julio is likely to have next year and probably the year after? Very low. He's worth a first still. He really is. My hunch is you can use him for the rest of the year and then sell him right before or even within next season for more.

So is Boyd, though. Boyd currently on pace for 100+ catches for about 1100 yards and 6 TDs. Kind of a Julio-lite season, but 5.5 years younger.

Boyd is such an overlooked player. Julio is averaging less than 1ppg more than him this year.

ETA: looks like you were talking about the original post which was a 2nd. I was thinking his updated offer which was Boyd. Obviously Julio >>> late 2nd.
