Cook vs. Jacobs/Claypool

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Cook vs. Jacobs/Claypool

Postby My BallZach Ertz » Thu Nov 12, 2020 1:11 pm

Does this seem fair or is there still some more value lacking on the Jacobs side?

Some are very high on Jacobs and Claypool, so I could see this having a chance but Cook is out of control and it's probably the toughest time to buy him right now.

I have Cook...looking to maybe cash out while his value is high.

x2. Any other time and this would be accepted but Cook is running wild. I'd give it a shot and if the team is rebuilding they might go for it but don't be shocked if they reject without counter.

Oh I just saw this, I would ask for more. You should realistically be able to get just about anything you want for him. But I am lower on Jacobs and Claypool.

I wouldn’t sell Cook for this. I think value-wise, it isn’t terrible, but I think Cook would still command this type of deal if he weren’t playing out of his mind right now. I’d only move him for a Godfather offer currently.

Having owned Cook I understand the fear of the bottom falling out with an injury at any time, but honestly that's with any RB. Value wise it seems close, but with how Cook is playing the Jacobs side would need something added. Maybe a 2nd? Jacobs is a great runner, but the lack of passing work keeps the gap between him and Cook pretty wide.

To be fair Jacobs has 19 receptions on the year and Cook has 16.

I own both cook and Jacobs..... I want cook all day...
im amazed at how high most are on Jacobs.... I have been trying everything to get rid of him in my league and I cannot get anything half decent...
and I have posted a few questions on here guys think im crazy for moving Jacobs. personally, when Devante booker is cutting into your roll...something stinks... and every week goes by I think, ok...this is the week, he has a great match... then I see booker get the first 7 out of 10 carries and td...… fml
so yeah, cook for me lol

True, albeit with 1.5 games missed for Cook. It seems like Minnesota is starting to figure things out defensively putting them in more advantageous game scripts offensively and allowing them to run their offense through Cook. Something I just looked up though is Cook's playoff schedule has him going up against three tough defenses if that makes a difference for you at all.

Give me cook by a lot here. If it wasn't for the ACL injury I'd say he was right there with value as CMC. He gets the ball on the ground and can catch the ball well. He's far enough removed from the ACL injury that he's recovered from it, but it will probably end up taking a few years off his career (see Gurley).
