Kittle vs 2 21 1sts?

Postby dynastyfan43 » Mon Nov 09, 2020 5:22 pm

Team in sig. Packing it up for this year and looking to the future. Kittle owner has said he would move for 2 1sts. Looking at the current draft projections and my picks, I am thinking I can expect a good WR/decent RB at the end of the first and maybe grab Pitts in the early 2nd?

Would you rather hold the picks and gamble on rookies or take the upgrade of Kittle over Henry?

Tough with your RB core, but Kittle is a known stud and the price is pretty solid too.

If you are rebuilding it’s tough to move picks even though it’s a good price

This was my main thought as well. Hoping I could flip a 1st and 2nd closer to draft time for a proven guy and hope JT turns it around next season, then just roll BPA with my remaining picks. I don't feel bad rolling Henry out every week, but he is far from a sexy option

I love kittle and have him in a couple of leagues but I have to say that owning and watching him the last couple of years that I don’t think he’s going to have a very long career that’s top of the position at his position in fantasy as it seems he plays too hard and thru injuries which is great in realfootball but will shorten how valuable you are in fantasy. I’d definitely think about offering two firsts for kittle but ultimately it comes down to how effective you think he’ll be for the next 3-4 years for you and if you are a good or bad drafter how much better you’d be just keeping those picks.
I honestly don’t know what I’d do in your position
Qb: Hurts, geno Smith
Rb: JT, Gibbs, Montgomery, Roschon, Z. White, Ty Chandler
Wr: AJB, JJ, Chase, waddle, G Wilson
TE: Pitts, Kincaid, Likely, Njoku

2024 1.01, 1.04, 1.05
10 team
9 players kept yearly
Non PPR
Not super flex
Start 1/1/2/1/2 flex
1 point per first down
All tds 6 points

I like locking up top TE's and if you think Kittle is that TE, I'd say go for it. Personally, I worry about his injury record and not sure he'll be that guy.
Team 1. 12 team. 1 PPR. 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX 2017 2nd, 2018 2nd, 2019 1st, 2020 1st, 2021 2nd, 2022 1st

WR - J. Jefferson, Diggs, AJ Brown, T. Higgins, M. Thomas, Cooks, Bateman, R. Moore, C. Tillman, J. Hyatt, D. Parker
TE - Kelce, J. Ferguson

2025 - 1,2,3,4,5

Team 2. 12 team. .5 PPR. 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX 2019 1st, 2020 1st, 2021 2nd, 2023 Full rebuild mode

I think that's a great price for Kittle in a vacuum, but that roster isn't a Kittle away from being a contender. I'd hold the picks here.
10-team Superflex, 0.5 PPR, 15-man rosters, pseudo-dynasty
