Waiver dilemma

I have to pick up a TE for this week as Ertz and Goedert are on a bye. I really want to attempt to claim Jordan Reed. My dilemma is that we have a max of 3 at TE, so if I claim Reed and he doesn’t play Thursday, I am stuck. Recently added players lock 24 hours before game, so I doubt we know Reed’s status by tomorrow night.

I could always move Reed or Ertz to IR for the week and then pick up another TE if Reed doesn’t play. So, should I go for Reed and worry about the situation later or pick up Schultz or Logan Thomas instead?

Thomas is the safer play/pick up in my opinion.

Reed has higher upside but I’m not betting on that in his first game back. I’d go Logan Thomas

reed could also have to leave the game at any moment. like every player, ok, but reed is a bit more consistent in that!

I prefer Thomas over Schultz (tough to start cowboys players), Reed (one play away from concussion/ankle injury)

Thanks for the input. Reed was not claimed, so I think I’m going to hold out and see if Reed is activated before making a move. Thomas wasn’t claimed either, so I’m still deciding who I’d rather have. I like Reed for the ROS (if he can stay healthy- that’s a big IF though), but obviously he may not play this week.
