Dak Prescott in 1QB leagues?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Dak Prescott in 1QB leagues?

Postby Crouchy » Fri Oct 30, 2020 6:24 pm

I am 1-6 and looking towards next year. My QBs are Goff, Newton and Stafford. It is a 10 team 1QB league and the QB trade market is pretty static.

I might be able to get Dak for someone like Devante Parker. I wonder if I should do it even though I probably won't be able to trade my other QBs for very much.

Alternatively I have two likely early firsts and an early and a mid second, so perhaps I should pick up a QB in the draft who will be hopefully starting by 2022.

Parker seems steep in this format. Can you get another piece back?

I could maybe get someone like Irv Smith thrown in if I try.

Yeah with the 1qb leagues I guess people don't trade QBs much. I am leaning towards waiting for the draft and trying to get like the QB3 or QB 4 in the draft

I'd probably pull the trigger. But it's a gamble that Dak returns to form. Wouldn't be surprised to see the cowboys let him walk either since it appears they will be in the position to draft a qb this off season.

Even in the format, I would much rather gamble on Prescott than Parker.

Dak >>>> Parker

Sure 10 teams hurts qb value but it also hurts the value of low WR2/high WR3 types like Parker.

Dak was providing a MASSIVE positional advantage when he was healthy, even in a 10 team league. While he is unlikely to ever put up those kind of numbers consistently again (all the stars were aligned this year with the awful d and bevy of weapons) I would still much rather gamble on that upside than worry about holding a mediocre piece like Parker.

I totally agree with this. Dak was show that he can be a beast, Packer is not the type of guy I would lose sleep over losing. Especially in a 10 teamer where studs rule.

Isn't there a lot of doubt with him next season in how he recovers and who he even plays for? I can probably get Fields or Lawrence in the rookie draft instead and try and flip Parker for someone else/ picks?
