Baker Mayfield trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Baker Mayfield trade

Postby jma9534 » Thu Oct 29, 2020 5:13 am

I received an offer today of Baker Mayfield for my 2022 1st and Donovan Peoples-Jones in Superflex. Team is in sig. I have talent and am currently 3rd in points but have a huge hole at QB after Jameis and Mariota lost their jobs. I’ve had an extremely difficult time trading for a starting QB so I’ve just been rolling with Goff for now rather than overpay. It seems QBs have a very high price in this league. Is Baker Mayfield the answer for my team at QB or should I hold off and see if another comes available? Thanks for the advice!
SuperFlex .5 PPR, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 SF, 2 Fl
QB- A.Rodgers, B.Young, B.Mayfield, Z.Wilson, J.Winston, J.Stidham, J.Haener
RB- B.Robinson, J.Warren, J.McKinnon, R.Dowdle, D.Foreman, R.Penny, J.Mason, E.Hull, J.McLaughlin,
WR- R.Shaheed, J.Palmer, K.Phillips, K.Toney, S.Moore, V.Jefferson
TE- G.Kittle, D.Waller, J.Johnson, M.Gesicki

Its risky, but Mayfield helps your build a lot even if he is not a top end QB.

Easily take Baker here. The first is two years out. You will get Barkley back to give you top rb's. Your wr's are good, I'd try and split up the Evans / Godwin duo. The big one here is Winston, if he sticks with NO and Brees retires then that could really help your roster. Is there a chance to sell off one of your te's? Possibly package a te with on of your TB wr's??

Thanks for all the insight! We have a couple potential contenders thin at TE so hoping it will be a seller's market as we
move closer to the deadline and I'll be able to get a solid return. The Evans/Godwin duo has definitely disappointed this season, I'd like to move Evans but his value is so low right now I feel like I may have to wait it out for now. Received an offer of a 2nd for him over the weekend lol. Have had a couple teams interested in Jameis, but yeah if he finds another starting job he really takes my team to the next level so have been holding. Thanks again!
