What's a fair deal for Dobbins?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What's a fair deal for Dobbins?

Postby fantasyhermit » Wed Oct 28, 2020 2:42 pm

Howdy all. Negotiating with the Dobbins owner right now. With the 2 rosters below, what is a fair offer for both parties to benefit from? We're kind of stuck on where to start without making this into a big package for package deal.
Kyler, Burrow, and my 1st are off the table on my end. Dak is off the table on his end.

Thanks for your time.

Seems like Moore or Robinson would have to be involved.

I'm okay with that. Is something like Moore vs. Dobbins/Reagor too one-sided? I know in some circles Moore's value has depressed, so I may be overvaluing him.

I traded Moore straight up for Dobbins last week. It is a steep price but I think Dobbins will be worth it by the start of 2021, if not sooner.

Its steep, but it will take a solid offer to land Dobbins.

On first glance that does seem pretty steep, but I've not followed trends/value changes for a couple weeks now so it may be closer than I think. I agree Dobbins will be a great piece in '21. That's why I'm trying to grab him in '20!
Thanks for your response.

Yet I shouldn't take Godwin, Dobbins, Lindsay, PWill, and Tannehill for MT?

If I remember correctly from that thread (days ago), the hangup was you are a contender and would be downgrading from MT to Godwin (with AB rolling in), when Dobbins might not help your need for RB depth for THIS season. I don't think anyone is arguing the value of that trade long-term - that's an absolute haul for one player - but we play this game to win and if your window is now, I think MT makes more sense for a real push than Dobbins/Godwin. If you are punting on this year, then the trade is an absolute no brainer IMO.

For the OP, I like Dobbins but I love DJM so that's a pass for me. I would easily move JRob+ for Dobbins however if that's an option.

I think Dobbins+2021 2nd = DJM. I personally turned that trade down as a Dobbins owner, but that was the running value in my league.

Makes sense, thanks. Sorry, just conflicted and worn out from debating it. If Godwin hadn't gotten hurt I'd probably have done it by now so maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

Is that SF? If so I can’t personally come up with a world I don’t take that deal for MT...Godwin dobbins and Tannehill for MT and People said to hold MT? Love me some Thomas but that’s a smash accept IMO.

To the op you can try for dobbins/reagor But I doubt you get that much on top of Dobbins, everyone wants to buy dobbins right now!

No not sf. If Godwin hadn't gotten hurt it’d probably be done already but I’m in total win now and dobbins ain’t helping this year. Why not wait for MT if I have to wait for Godwin anyway?

Because you’d get all those other assets as well. It looks like you have the back end of a bench to drop players.

With Cook coming back this week or next and the depth you have currently, you’d still be in a position to win this season. Godwin will be out a few weeks longer than MT, but you have the pieces to cover it and Godwin isn’t a huge drop from Thomas. I have to agree with the “would’ve accepted already” crew. This trade adds to your portfolio without damaging your starters a ton. I hope it’s still on the table.
