Thoughts on possible Kittle trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Thoughts on possible Kittle trade

Postby boochluke » Wed Oct 28, 2020 12:38 pm

Hi everyone,

New to the board and only been playing dynasty for 2 years and starting to really get into it. Would like to send an offer for kittle but not sure on value.

League is 1qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1te, 2flex, 1idp, ppr
Send: M Andrews, Golladay, 2021 second (mid to late)
Receive: Kittle, Reagor

Is this too little or too much to send?

He's 6-1 and first in points scored and I am 5-2 and third in points.

We are both fairly deep at WR. Will appreciate your thoughts!

Unless you're incredibly high on Reagor, I don't see how this trade makes much sense for you. The TEs are basically a wash, personal preference notwithstanding, and moving a productive WR in Golladay plus a future second-round pick to get a still-unproven rookie seems...unwise.

Welcome to the board, first of all!

I think this is too much to send by quite a bit. The different between Kenny G and Reagor is pretty big (probably off a a 1st rounder at this point) and then you're adding a 2nd rounder on top of the wrong side, and getting older at TE. I'd rather hold Andrews and sell Kenny G alone for a better return.

If you just want to pivot from Andrews to Kittle, maybe just add a 2nd on to Andrews to get Kittle, but that's still probably more than I'd pay.

Seems about right. I like Andrews but Kittle is the clear another one for me. I think you do not have to add a second however.

I'd take the Andrews+ side.
12 Team Dynasty, (SF) (2pt/c TE Prem)
QB - Wentz, Heinicke, Big Ben, Fitz, Tyrod, Rudolph
RB - Henry, Kamara, CMC, R. Jones, D. Felton, P. Lindsay
WR - Ridley, Pittman, Cooks, M. Williams, MT, AJG, R. Higgins, Perriman, Shi Smith, MVS
TE - Gesicki, Engram, Uzomah, Hurst, Manhertz, Farrell

2022: 1,2,3,4

Welcome to the community and good to hear you are getting really into dynasty!

Kittle will always take an overpay, but I think you are giving up too much since no one really knows what they have in Reagor yet. The difference between Reagor and Golladay is far greater than that of Kittle to Andrews. I would hold your side as currently constructed.

Thanks everyone for the great input. Seems the general consensus is that Kittle takes an overpay but the trade is still a decent sized overpay even without the pick.

I do prefer Kittle to Andrews by a good bit because Andrews seems much more touchdown dependent. However I'm not super high on Reagor but I do like him and see him as an opportunity to get younger at WR while his owner might be devaluing him.

I'm almost certain his owner would have no interest in Andrews + 2nd rd pick but I'd personally be much more interested in doing that.

I still might offer Andrews/Golladay for Kittle/Reagor and see what happens! Or maybe I'll try Andrews/Woods first....

Try Andrews and Woods to frame the trade and if you're ok with the Kenny G / Reagor swap just don't let it evolve past that

maybe Andrews/Woods/2nd and also offer Andrews/Kenny. I agree with you, I think Kittle is at least 1 tier above Andrews in full PPR due to role, system, QB.
