Offloading Lamb

Postby treble83 » Sun Oct 25, 2020 1:00 pm

I know that Ceedee Lamb is going to be great but with Dak's season ending injury and now Andy Dalton leaving early with a possible concussion, I decided that it was time to offload Lamb. I'm trying to win this year and remain in a position to at least be in the running next year. As soon as I offered Lamb, I was offered K. Golladay and T. Fulgham. I accepted the offer on the spot as I saw it as a slight overpay. Just wondering what you all thought.

I mean Golladay for the year, but I dont think moving Lamb is a good move at all. Its dynasty.

I really dislike this for you but I think Golladay is one of the more overrated fantasy players. He's 1 year younger than Robert Woods, produces about the same as Woods, and costs about 4x as much.

No way man. I just traded Tyreek straight up for Lamb and I still l♡︎ve it. If you are trading him, better not be for anyone outside top 10.

If you really want to move, go for McLaurin and an RB2 plus a draft pick.

Not a fan of that move at all. I understand the thought process, but I wouldn't have done it.

I wouldn't trade Terry for Lamb straight up, where I have Terry. He's actually a 1. If you can get anything on top, that's gravy. A RB2 and a pick, that would be stealing.

I hate to say it, but I would not have pulled the trigger on that deal at all.
I think you got taken to the cleaners.
I was offered a late 1st and early 2nd for Lamb and I politely declined.
I also believe that Kenny G is highly overrated.

I wouldn't sell lamb for golladay. Golladay will likely outproduce him this year, but lamb is 5 years younger.

Golladay is a top 12 WR this year, so I understand what you are trying to do. I would try to trade lamb for another consistent young producer like mclaurin, AJB, DK, DJM, etc if you really are worried about production from lamb in 2020. Or who knows, maybe this DiNucci cat will pepper Lamb with targets.

I think the deal is fine. I think that people are currently a bit too high on Lamb based on his performance in the slot in an offense that was on pace to obliterate passing records, and I think Lamb is going to bleed perceived value over the remainder of the season.

I don't love the trade and it's not one I would make; however, I don't think it's a terrible move and I totally understand wanting the immediate production for this year. I think it's pretty close if you look at it from that perspective.
