Superflex: Saquon+ for Burrow/1.01

Postby nosferatu » Tue Oct 20, 2020 3:37 pm

Hey all - this would be for team B in my signature. I've been trying without luck to sell Saquon to put me in a better position to win back to back championships. It's lead me down a road of pondering other options, especially after going 2-4 to start (2nd most PF most PA). That said, the last place team really doesn't have much going on, and seems almost a lock to be 2021 1.01. Our league is transitioning to superflex in 2021, so it got me thinking maybe now would be a good time to try to get setup for the switch while also not hurting my chances much to compete this year. What do you think of this deal? Any chance it would get accepted?

Sell: Saquon, Robinson, Harry, 2021 1st (mid-late)
Get: Burrow, 2021 1.01 (1.02 at worst), Drake

I'd get weaker at RB, but have Mahomes, Burrow, and Lawrence (or top rb/wr) for the 2022 transition.
A - 12tm PPR: QB, SFLX, 3RB, 3WR, TE, FLX

QBs: Burrow, Lawrence, Fields, Darnold, Wilson, Rypien
RBs: Dillon, Nwangwu, junk
WRs: Chark, Reagor, Chase, Smith, Bateman, Mooney, Rodgers, Waddle, Preston, Lazard
TEs: Herndon, Freiermuth, Sternberger
2022: 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4

B - 12tm PPR: QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, 2FLX (SFLX in 2022)

QBs: Mahomes, Ryan, Eason
RBs: Cook, Jones, Gordon, Robinson, Gibson, Mattison, Harris, Jackson, Hasty, Michel
WRs: Adams, Nuk, Golladay, Boyd, Preston, Shepard, Gage, Harry
TEs: Henry, Ebron, Hurst, Graham
2021: 1.11, 3.11, 4.11 2022: 1, 2, 3, 4

Burrow + Lawrence or Fields is worth more then what you are giving up in SF in my opinion. Robinson is risky long term and I have no idea what to make of Harry. Having to include the other 1st is tough, but if this ends up being the 1.01, the value will be huge this off season.

I can easily see both sides, but I'd lean slightly to the burrow side in sf. Burrow + next year's qb1 should be a great core to build around in sf
Team #1: 12-Team - PPR - *SF* - 4pt Pass - IDP
25 Roster + 5 Taxi | QB, RB, 2-WR, TE, SFLX, 3-FLX | DL, LB, DB
The Moore the Murray-er (2022 Champ 8-) )
QB: Burrow - Lamar - Kyler
RB: Ekeler - Saquon - Gainwell
WR: Amon Ra - Hopkins - Godwin - K.Allen- QJ - Hollywood - Diontae - Shaheed- Wandale - Woods
TE: Kelce - Engram - Ferg - Chig
DL: Hunter | LB: Okereke | DB: Bynum
'24 Picks: Late 1st, Early 2nd, Late 2nd

Team #2: 12-Team - PPR - *SF* - 6pt Pass - TE Prem
25 Roster + 5 Taxi | QB, RB, 2-WR, TE, SFLX, 3-FLX
Team #2 (0-0)
QB: Murray - Allen - Winston
RB: Cook - Saquon - Mattison - Hull
WR: Diontae - Tyreek - Lockett - Higgins - Chark - TMJ - Kirk - Dell
TE: Ertz - Engram - Mayer
'24 Picks: My 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

Pretty much how I feel about this exactly. I'm gambling on the pick becoming the 1.01, but worst case scenario is 1.2 or 1.3 which honestly doesn't seem too likely.

It's the Burrow side. Burrow and Lawrence of Fields/Chase. Harry is a bust, IMO. Robinson is starting to come back down to earth. I like the 2 QB's in a SF. Barkley has hit peak value, he's still a really great talent, but the situation sucks, he's got a complicated knee issue (hasn't had surgery yet, I don't think due to swelling), and may not be the same back next year.
