Claypool trade

Postby MyTeam » Tue Oct 20, 2020 9:23 am

Team 1 Below

Moved Claypool for a 2021 early/mid first (2-5) and what is all but guaranteed 2.01.

I might have moved him a little early and if he continues this tear I am going to look real dumb but I thought reloading with a couple guys from next years class which should be very strong.

I think that’s a fantastic price. We still don’t know what it will look like with all 3 steelers WRs on the field regularly. Claypool has looked fantastic but I’d take that return any day.

Very nice return for him...this prices implies pretty high odds that he ends up a stud.

Great price for you, I think that cost implies he keeps producing on a pace he is actually quite unlikely to do. You get instant value with even premium on his continued production at high high rate.
10 team league (PPR). 31 player rosters. Keep all 31. Start 2 QBs, 3 RBs, 5 WRs, 2 TEs.

QB: Cousins, Fields (R), Z. Wilson (R), T. Taylor, Minshew, K. Mond (R)
RB: Chubb, Mixon, Ekeler, J. Robinson, C. Edmonds, D. Henderson, S. Ahmed, J. Wilson
WR: Diggs, D.J. Chark, D. Samuel, M. Brown, C. Davis, C. Kirk, D. Slayton, J. Meyers, P. Williams, D. Mooney, M. Callaway, B. Persman, I. Smith-Marsette (R)
TE: Kittle, Herndon, O.J. Howard, H. Bryant, D. Schultz, L. Farrell (R)

I like the deal on the surface, but time will tell here. Claypool looks good, but it's early and picks are no guarantee. Time will tell.

Right, and Claypool is also not really a guarantee. He could fade some once Johnson comes back, and I don't think this deal really prices in that risk. Yes Claypool could end up being worth way more than this but it's far from guaranteed, and he could also end up being worth much, much less than this.
