Should I trade for Watson? Please read my situation.

First, thank you!

So I lost Dak after overpaying, ugh.

I have Kirk Cousins and Andy Dalton.

I have a plan in place to get Matthew Stafford for nothing. The owner is going to drop him anyway, I’ll toss him a late round pick or something. I plan to drop Cousins to make room for Stafford if Dalton looks a little okay tonight.

My signature is up-to-date. The Watson owner wants Evans straight up. I had planned to run DK+Hopkins+Kelce+Evans as my core.

I could also use Evans to go after an RB. I have real RB need. I have zero 1st left, but FIVE 2nds. The Conner owner will trade for two 2nds so maybe that’s my RB fix. Dak will be back.

Do I trade Evans for Watson? Another owner has Lamar Jackson and Cam and has been trying to dump Lamar on me at an elevated price. I think Cam might end up better ‍♂️

I would trade a late pick for Stafford, easily hold Evans over Watson and 100% trade two 2nds for Conner. I think this takes care of all your needs and you keep Evans.

If it's a 1 qb league don't trade for Watson now if you already overpayed for Dak. Get Stafford and stream him or Dalton. If you can land Conner for 2 2nds I'd do that quickly.

Thanks guys! That’s my gut, but Evans looks bad with Brady this year. He’s had less than 10 yards all three games that Godwin played. The Watson owner is actively tanking for a rebuild, but his integrity means that he always still plays his best players. His price for Watson will likely come down if that continues anyway. I just don’t know what to do with Evans... I’m afraid Brady has killed his production. Maybe I can sell him on name value for another star WR or more RB help.

All of this. Cousins and Stafford are averaging almost exactly the same amount of points for the year. Do not confuse good at real football for good at fantasy.

Not now, he finally traded Watson away to another team. The owner of LJax also has Cam, and has been trying to trade LJax to me at a premium. Honestly I wonder if Cam wouldn’t be better to target.

Agree with this. In the OP’s defense, it was still in the 1st quarter last night when he posted this thread. Hopefully after seeing Dalton play a full game, he’s reevaluated.

I would definitely grab Stafford for nothing. But I wouldn’t move Evans for Watson. Stafford and Cousins are good enough for you (I would drop Dalton easily over Cousins). I would also make that trade for Conner to help with your RB situation.
