James Robinson vs. Tee Higgins

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

James Robinson vs. Tee Higgins

Postby kmbryant09 » Sat Oct 17, 2020 8:01 pm

I own James Robinson as my RB #3 behind CEH and M. Sanders (with A. Gibson, J.K. Dobbins, M. Gaskin on the bench).

I have A.J. Brown, C. Ridley, OBJ, Di. Johnson, J. Reagor, P. Williams as my top WR's with not much help behind them.

I like Higgins a lot, but how does his value compare to Robinson considering how productive Robinson has been and how valuable the RB position is right now?

Thanks!

I like Higgins way more long term. Tough call here on value as Higgins is starting to show and Robinson is slowing down. I would ask the Higgins owner what he/she thinks about a deal involving the two players.

Robinson has been very productive and produced more in the passing game than expected. His problem is that he was a UDFA and nobody trusts him and everyone is uncertain of his long term future. I would say that if he has a big game this week vs Detroit then you should be able to get a better return for him from a rb needy team.

Higgins for me.

This feels like 2018 comparing Phillip Lindsay with Courtland Sutton or DJM. Sutton and Moore were slower out of the gates and Lindsay was tearing it up. The UDFA factor crept in though and the team didn't seem to treat him as "the guy" after that first year when he looked great. Feels like coaches and ownership commonly replace guys like this.

I could be wrong, but I see Robinson similarly. Higgins was 1 pick away from being a first so the investment is high. Stick with Higgins here.

Robinson needs to be on an Arian Foster or Aaron Jones type level to trust long term and I just don't see that. Higgins could be Burrow's guy for the next decade. Give me that all day long.

I like this comparison too. Im taking Higgins all day and you might be able to get something on top as well as Robinson is playing. Do it before Higgins has his breakout week.

Higgins for me. 33rd overall pick, heir apparent to AJG, tied to Joe Burrow for the foreseeable future, and he's been looking better each week (0 targets week 1, 3/35 week 2, and on a 16 game 76/1216/8 pace since).
