I have Gordon and CMC. A guy offered me davis for Gordon. I'm 5-0 and I'm doing fine without CMC in the lineup. At first glance this move is short sighted and Gordon is the better long term player but does davis earn a starting gig somewhere else next year? Will gordons recent DUI arrest impact his playing time in Denver?....
In a vacuum I think the davis side needs to add more but big picture I'm wondering if other factors should convince me to make this deal. Thoughts?

Davis becoming a starter is far more of a gamble in my opinion than Gordon continuing to produce for a couple years. Hold Gordon even with the DUI.

Ask yourself if you would have made this trade a week ago before the news broke... I would hold.
With one caveat: Gordon all of a sudden has an illness and did not fly with the team to the game. That's a bit coincidental for my tastes. Could be real or could be a precursor to him being cut by the team as the team lawyers do their due diligence to make sure they can cut him. We've seen it before.
