Imbalanced Trade?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Imbalanced Trade?

Postby treble83 » Sat Oct 17, 2020 4:15 am

My commissioner is uneasy about a trade that I offered (and got accepted by) another team.

I give: T. Gurley, J. Landry, and a '23 4th (Rookie)

Receive: C. Carson snd R. Penny

I thought it was fair. I was essentially just looking to lock in a 3rd and final RB/Handcuff duo. Am I missing something?

Carson side for sure. But it isn't a too imbalanced, especially if the other team needs a WR.

Carson side easily for me but in no way is this lopsided. Guy might really like Landry or is afraid of another Carson injury. But i just don’t see how the Commish can even question. It’s not even close to collusion or a veto discussion.

Carson side, but there is nothing to see here. Not sure what the issue would be.

I could argue either side here.

He pushed it through but his reluctance was certainly a red flag for me.

Wait imbalanced toward carson and Penny? I would much rather have Gurley and Landry. Definitely concerning about your commissioner.

Landry gets no respect. It's a balanced trade in my mind. Even if it is carson side it's not an unbalanced trade.

Personally? I like Landry just fine. I was willing to trade him because he was behind J. Smith-Schuster; C. Lamb; D. Adams; and D. Parker. I just wanted to lock down my backfield with reliable starters and their most likely backups (Handcuffs).

Trades rarely get more even than this.
Did he even mention which side he thought was imbalanced?

Landry is a legit WR3 and will be firmly entrenched there by year's end. Gurley is putting up RB2 numbers.
I wonder if it's an inexperienced dynasty commish who still values Gurley like he was two or so years ago?

If anything - I feel like Carson is the one perpetually undervalued and overlooked.

At most this is off by what a second? Sure the SEA backfield is a good chunk of points. But as someone that owns a few copies of it it's a pain and stressful and rightfully valued less than how many points they'll get you
