Sell Godwin this year?! Get Barkley?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Sell Godwin this year?! Get Barkley?

Postby mullmania » Fri Oct 16, 2020 7:34 pm

Team is 3-2. About 9 playoff contenders and 3 basement dwellers

Not true dynasty. 3 year hold and trade league. One franchise guy to keep which is Kamara

Offer is give Godwin year 3 (must trade after this season or tag).

Get Barkley

Can my WRs survive losing Godwin? They have so far kind of

Is Barkley-Kamara a setup for the next 2-3 years?

Watson, Brees, Carr
Kamara-Murray, James Robinson, White-Michel, Scott, Thompson
Diggs-Godwin-fuller-Landry-C Patt Denzel Mims
ertz-goedert, higbee

Thoughts?

I dont think your wr's can withstand to lose Godwin and compete. How many tags do you get per season?

When is the trade deadline? It looks like you will want to trade Godwin this year, but you may want to trade him for a player that will help this year and for the next couple years if you are in it when get to the trade deadline. If have to decide this week, I like the idea of having Barkley and Kamara for the next couple years.

You get 1 player you can basically extend indefinitely

All others have to be traded when 3 years is up

So I can tag Kamara or Godwin or whoever but can’t keep both

I don’t HAVE to trade Godwin anytime before kickoff of next season so I can hold him hope he does good for my team and holds dyno value like he did

If so maybe a lessser RB or WR or whatever can be traded for

I can hold Godwin until kickoff of next season

I think I’ll plan to hold him make a playoff run and then trade over the summer

Barkley may not be the table then but someone will be

I would hold Godwin given all factors.

Godwin & Kamara are by far your best 2 players. I would not trade either for an injured asset on a miserable team.
