What to do with these 2 WR

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What to do with these 2 WR

Postby Freon25 » Thu Oct 15, 2020 5:15 pm

So, Mims and Pittman are both currently sitting on waivers. Does it make sense to drop both M. Jones and S. Watkins to pick them up? Both are up there in age, and the league isn’t heavy with trade activity (not that I think I'd be able to get much for either of them anyway). At this point, baring any significant injuries (it is 2020 after all), I don’t see myself in a position to start either of them this season.

My thought process was those spots could be better served for two young players who have potential. Not to mention, could also help me trade into some better RB assets next year (which I definitely need).

Make sense? Or should I be looking at this from a different angle? Want to make sure I’m not missing an opportunity by just dropping them.

Wow surprising in a 12 team those guys are on wavier.
Personally I would gamble on the rookies, they can easily be worth something and become trade bait later for a RB. Watkins and Jones are good but no one is gonna give up assets for them.

Pittman could easily have a Claypool type moment where there is a window to sell high. They have similar profiles.

Long term, I would gamble on the two rookies here. I'm shocked they are on waivers.

Yeah, it’s a work league and I think only a few really do any rookie homework. Given that, I think these guys both have been flying under the radar due to being on IR. Figured the window to get both of these guys was closing fast, as it's a matter of time before someone else figures out these gems are sitting there.
